The internet
is real life. Just because you're sitting behind a monitor and typing into a screen, doesn't mean we aren't all real life people on the other side. I totally disagree with your "he's my friend, I will support him whether he is right or wrong" idea. I also think it's pretty low that you only care about yourself and friends. You really do seem to be self-centered, and for someone that says they don't care what other people say, you sure seem to keep posting replies to every comment made about you.
I think that this right here is the biggest problem with the internet. The internet is a desolate wasteland where humans act like scum and nothing is done about it. I sure as hell won't be letting my children use the internet if it's like it is now. Just because this isn't "real life" to you, doesn't mean there aren't real people, with real feelings out there. We're all still human and we're all just sitting in front of monitors and talking long distance via text. Your total disregard for people sickens me.
True, I really don't care as much for the people of 9/11 then my own friends and family, because people die all the time and you just can't feel sorry for all of them. People die nearly every second of the day but there isn't huge news coverage on every one of them. I don't like the fact that they single out certain deaths as more important than others. But I care about everyone in general, just some more than others, as they are a bigger part of my life.
