I was made NAT Admin for my scripting skill. That's not why I was made co-manager. If you don't like the decisions I make then fine, you're welcome to your opinion. I'm sure virtually every decision meets bad responses along with the good, especially if the person making the decision has people like you lining up to take a shot at them. I don't let it bother me because I think I made the right choice.

I'm fully cooperative with that idea, assuming that everybody knows that the change has been made. Otherwise we might get problems with newbies who haven't seen that G2K1 uses a special system and subsequently make the mistake of thinking that gokudhsds23232 is an RC. You say only stupid people would make this mistake, as if stupid people are less valid customers. These are your excellent decision-making skills coming into play?

You may not have read the whole thread. I DID use that head up until I came to G2K1. Then I realised the confusion I could be causing and stopped.
you sucked at co-owner/NAT... you left us!!

Yeah. Sorry, bub, but you should be absolutely thrilled you even have a SMALL chance of getting a say in ANYTHING. When you look over at a huge game like Everquest, you're lucky if anyone notices you posted AT ALL.

You'll be lucky if you even get to talk to one of the Head GM's.

Not hard to put into play, just post a message on the main site, and if able put a message on the news at login thing on G2k1, and tell them the new head will be put into play, and show them what the new RC head looks like. If anybody misses that, then common sense should kick in when they see RC on the playerlist. Come on, you must agree on this one.
Yes, certainly. If we can effectively change over to a new system then I'll be happy to cooperate with it. But until that time I think it's wise to restrict head25.

Well, some people aren't able to just give up the way their character looks. I know I wouldn't. (not that I have been on graal for a while, I just know what my character looks like, and wouldn't change him)
Perhaps they should've thought of that before they decided to use the commonly accepted RC head? I empathise with them, having done the same thing myself, but I maintain that it's not as much inconvenience to them as it could be inconvenience to a newbie to be duped by an RC-imitator.

Option 2:
Let RCs set whatever head they want.

Then there won't BE an RC head, and you would just have specific-admin impersonation, which was a bannable offence once on Classic, might still be, probably at least jailable on G2K1...

Make a new RC head and make that head impossible for everyone to use exept staffs or something, a global head banning would just make some people uppload it under a different name or recolor the head a little I suppose (To darkred maybe?!).

Alright, alright, nothing to argue here. But get the new heads into play fast, it would be really cool. Maybe global RC have different heads, and people have different heads dependant on the level of RC...heh think of the possibilities!

It shouldn't be a human head, or a creature head.

It should be a image of a Globe for the Global Administration.

I don't know about playerworlds gp and other stuff.

I don't see why everyone is getting so worked up over one stinky old head. Some of you live off of arguing it seems. You paid to play on p2p servers, not to use head25 or whatever.

If all heads were removed except the newbie head then you still couldn't have a valid arguement since you did not pay for the heads, but the server that the heads are put on.

You don't pay for anything on any server, you pay to access the server. Most people feel that since they paid, they should get royal treatment on all servers and have a say in everything that goes on, but that doesn't HAVE to be the case. If you are dissatisfied with something on a p2p server, you have to live with it. Stefan can just say "Oh well" and you can't do a thing about it since accounts are non-refundable, and you're only paying for the access.

You read the agreement and agreed to it when you got your upgrade, so you have to live with change. I actually agree with Kaimetsu though.. it's ridiculous to have people impersonating staff by using that head. I don't know how many times I have seen someone set their nick to Stefan and use the RC head.

Well, it does kinda suck to go on G2K1, the superior server, and get told you can't use the head you liked on Classic.

I don't see why anybody would even use that head once they've realised that it's the RC head. It's so discourteous.

1) It was the Judgite head first
2) It's a cool head
3) It's only the RC head by arbitrary decision - it could just as easily be head0 or the squall head or something more popular like the Vincent head.

Bottom line, the players don't like being told what they can't do, even if you ARE the manager of G2K1. So you gotta pick your battles.

This is a halfway reasonable argument for people who started a million years ago. 0.1% of the population or something.

True, but it's still discourteous to use it. It leads to confusion etc - if I were to choose between personal style and the welfare of others then I'd go for courtesy every time. I don't see why other people can't.

Yes, and that's why we're talking about changing it. That doesn't change the situation now.

The players can dang well grow up. Every change faces flak from people who haven't thought things through, as I'm sure you more than most people are aware.

Yes, I am aware of it. I implimented the Hera system and removed some fullhearts and there was a full fledged riot.

I did not, however, force people to stop using head30 because it's my head. Nor did I force people to stop using the ninji katana because it looks too much like the new default L2 sword, nor have I even disabled use of the new default L2 sword graphics for those who want to use them.

RCM Moral of the Month: Players don't like being restricted, so whenever possible choose the option that does not restrict them. You can piss them off by forcing them to use a different head, or you can just change the RC Head to something that makes more sense - or that is not an arbitrary head25 at all times. I mean, it's a decent argument, and it probably will make things less confusing, but there have to be better things you can do with your time than stop players from wearing the RC head...

Ask Archaon how long it took, he was there at the time. It was literally less than five minutes. The time argument doesn't really apply here.

I read this whole thread before writing my post in, and I can conclude, Kaimetsu, that your decision to restrict this head was flat out retarded. There is no reason to restrict any head in the game. So it's "the RC head"? So what? RCs have things to distinguish themselves as RCs, they're called staff tags. They don't need a head exclusively for them, and if any ***** is stupid enough to mistake an RC impersonator for any staff, they deserve what they get.

No they don't, if they are too stupid to realize someone without a staff tag who isn't in the staff list who is saying they're an RC is lying, they probably wouldn't know how to turn a computer on, much less how to play graal

Which won't happen because I'm not sucking up to staff to become staff, if I ever wanted to be in a position of power I'd make a PW.

If you had any skill, you wouldn't need to suck up to anybody.

I can't say it doesn't happen, but you're clearly wrong to suggest that's the only way people become staff. Who on G2K1 should be replaced, and by who?

No, I didn't say that's how everyone becomes staff, just how most of them do. I fail to see why anyone would want to be staff to tell you the truth.
