Yeah, back when we had trading baskets.

And on the topic of iEra, it's an acquired taste for PC-Era Natives.
Here's the first impression of a PC-Era Native when they come to iEra:
1) "Oh, nice playercount."
2) "Ew, slow walk speed."
3) "Ew, laggy flash/java-based client. The hell is this friends list in my way for?"
4) "Man, this basing system sucks."
5) "Man, this walk speed really sucks,"
6) "Is it just me, or is this hit box off?"

Once you get past these quirks, it's manageable.

But it's really hard to get past that.
Especially for people who enjoy base takeovers, which is really what Era (both versions) are about.
Basing on iEra is flawed in many respects-- respawning, healing, and the general lack of focus on gunplay.

This does not captivate the typical PC Era player, who has seen a great basing system in action.

I really enjoy playing iEra, and I have plans to improve on it to give people the "old school Era" experience I grew up with.
I feel the newer generation is being robbed of a great game.

Admittedly though, I wouldn't play if I was limited to the Facebook application.

If iEra wants to attract anybody interested in playing on the PC, a good first step is to open up the server on the Graal Client to the general public, giving them the same limitations the Facebook client has, without the lag or that bulky friends list at the bottom.

Oh, and good to see some of you guys again.

Does anyone know the reason behind making a shitty facebook web application instead of just letting people use the native client that was already made and ready to go?

Advertising Graal for free. People invite friends to play the game and they eventually try it out. It's a free advertisement, considering the Graal community on facebook spreading it to their real life accounts.
People tend to hop on Facebook and try out games instead of downloading stuff etc. The mobile platforms and Facebook are the biggest income Graal does get, considering the amount of people and money being spent just to get Gralats.

Even though people won't stick to the Facebook client, they see that it's also available for their phone/tablet/whatnot and will get it on there

That makes sense. Can't argue with the logic there.
