I totally support Tim, and everything he's doing (so far). Every manager seem's to favor some players over others (Like Reese getting GRC, it was totally based on his app. Right?) Tim's objective is this terrible shape the economy is in, and although a lot of us just ask for a reset, we need to set up a stable layout before we can do anything like that, otherwise, we hit another economy problem. But, GRC has always produced too much money, and would never stay player owned, you have to of known that.

Wow, see this makes alot of sense. Just alot of the posts on it don't.

I also don't see it as a big deal Alfanso was going to give this bussiness to someone. Not many people even get grc buffs. Most people that play buy speed potions. The other buffs, I don't think they would've been a big deal or a 'hit'. Alot of people buy them for the first few weeks and then it declines. But I also can see why Tim made this decision, all these factors you guys layed out are honestly irrelevant because the fact remains he did do it and had his reasons. All you guys posting everything every manager does, and all having meticulously thought out; diferent angles on why it was wrong or right doesn't get anyone anywhere if anything it slows production down, because than they feel the need to defend themselves on something they really don't need to do, and it's almost never personal. But everyone seems to make it out to be that way.

Charge rent that was my solution. I think all businesses should be charged rent for the space they are in and also pay bills, i.e. electricity.

If the owner fails to pay the rent every month or week then they are kicked out and the business shuts down.

I think for a reasonable price the player can actually purchase the property and then would only have to pay bills. And if that player quits playing the game then the new owner goes to renting out the space unless the player signs the property over to the player.

I think you are all looking at this the wrong way.

I think you should have kept them player-ran Tim. If the issue is with owner's making to much money, why not just have it ran by the GBA? Part of the fun of Era is having a job. You could just have the GBA hire a Manager, who keeps the place under control and gets paid a salary. This way no one is getting all the extra money, and there is still player jobs

Sounds like a long winded and BS'ed way to go about it.
Just supporting Alfonso's follies though right?

Doing monotonous tasks for minimal pay while someone reaps the benefit of your work hardly sounds 'fun'.
Currently, you don't have to suck someone off to get hired and receive your rewards immediately for doing the same job. No one forces you to 'go stock' or benefactors from 'paying' you to do it.

Sounds pretty fine to me.
Plus, we don't have undesirables like Reese running the biz.

GreenRoads Cafe shouldn't have ever been made player-ran, it was absolutely FINE the way it was. Era cafe shouldn't have ever been made, time wasted. All you guys had to do was add new drinks to GreenRoads Cafe, problem solved.

Because when you lose the business you'll make another forum thread complaining about how you paid for the business and lost it for not following the contract.

The NPC-Server has at least 40mil from taxes anyways, he'll smoke you.

I remember when I was supervisor at gun point I used to tell my miners to bring the minerals directly to me and then I would sell them to the NPC server

like a boss

plus im sure youll get very rich by getting 1$ more for your iron and lead, whoch is about 1/5 of the minerals you will have.

iron and lead comprise something like 70% or more of the ores you find, statistically..CVimes has the stats somewhere.

For months now I have been asking for "Stocking lead/iron". Same concept as DD and DH... I've been with PT GP and AM and know it's difficult to always have to worry about giving employees minerals to stock and if they are going to take off with them, sell hem to the npc server or whatnot. Why can't these businesses have stocking minerals same as DD and DH.
I actually wouldn't mind if all the businesses were npc run. @ GP I was making 55k a week along side Reece and make a max of 20k a week @ AM... Have all the businesses run by the npc server and ALL players able to earn money by stocking them. I would surely miss the private mines of GP and AM and maybe that could be an option still but I do think having all the businesses npc server ran would save alot of headache for staff and the economy alike!

I remember when I owned GP, I gave this kid 20 lead to stock, and he ran off and sold it. I just started laughing, I don't even know why it was so funny, and Chris Vimes or someone banned him for like a month. :/
