In this thread, you will get to know Atlantis and our plans better. I will be posting updates, and you can go on and ask questions or something. Awesome!

Atlantis

Atlantis was the only German playerworld that has ever reached the "classic" status. Now it's off the list. Why? Because we are heavily working on it! Once German-only, Atlantis will become fully bi- or even multilingual, with German and English as the first languages to be added, and maybe more to come!

On this new run, we will move away from the RPG elements that were implemented on Atlantis when it was about to die. We will be going to go back to the old, classic feeling the playerworld had in the past, while still maintaining a fresh and clean look and feel. No dated content, everything will be new



So, what does that mean? It means you'll get a lot of awesome events, many challenging and cool quests and content to keep you motivated for a long time. Everything in a non-default but still Graal-ish setting with custom graphics, sounds and (hopefully *crosses fingers*) music! Basic systems will still be the default ones, so you'll be able to get into sparring just like you used to




Just recently, we've made some of the first few systems available to the public, so you can go check them out and see what the rest is going to be like. Hop on Atlantis and check out some cool levels (the town is mostly finished), the health display and our day-night-system, coming with a super awesome time display!

Hmm the only thing I can't say I like are the hearts. They seem overly large, but beyond that my main problem is the angles are so sharp that they don't really look that good. Also, they could possibly be offset from the side of the screen some and spread apart a little more.

The time dial could probably look better flipped vertically.

i consider reshaping the border of the hearts, although the edgy shape was made on purpose ;-) as for the offset, i think it's fine like that, also the distance between two hearts is good in my opinion..

you know, flipping the time dial actually isnt such a bad idea, i've just tried it! the middle thingy of the time dial will be replaced with a weather symbol anyways btw. ;-)

The main problem I think comes from the borders of the hearts being a bit too large. With that much of a border you could perhaps do something more ornate. As far as the margin and spacing I think it comes down to the fact that it doesn't align very well with the time dial. When I look at a HUD I look at the whole HUD, and the time dial sticks out way more than the hearts, and it just doesn't flow right in my opinion.

Yea, it kinda of clashes with the stain glass windows, someone should redo those windows.

I thought it looked familiar. Did you make the palm tree too? On one hand it seems to have your level of technical detail but on the other it doesn't look like a style you'd do.

I thought you had given us permission to use it?

Edit: Seems like you didn't and the image went straight from Angelu to Nitron and from there into the church. Or at least I think it's been that way; correct me if I'm wrong. Plans to redesign the church already exist, though, so we'll take that into consideration.

I'm a big fan of how this project is going, and that doesn't happen often! Keep it up because it really does look great. I wish I could help in some way, but I'm sort of lacking in skills, so I hope the people with talent see the same as I do.

The map (including the minimap) has been released to the public! Go check it out. Also, we added bush items and a rupee display, so you can go farm rupees and other things; I know you guys and gals love doing that!



Edit: By the way, you can toggle the Graal taskbar by clicking that button in the bottom right corner of the minimap.

Not going lie, really don't like those hearts or how much space rupees are taking up then again I'm a complete minimalist when it comes to UI.

The level and map have a really nice vibe to it though.
