i downloaded the windows v6 graal beta and it doesnt seem to open for me. I have windows xp, and im sure im compatible for this graal client. Any help?

And i forgot to mention, when i do run as(administrator) it pops up with an error Themida with no description and only allows me to press "Ok"

While in FS mode, pressing f7 once opens the playerlist, but pressing it again does not close it. You have to manually right-click Graal, then press f7 again.

This it gets annoying.


Also, I updated to the new version today and it wont let me go to full screen mode. There isn't even a resolution selection in the f3 menu its just blank in the drop down box.

Holy jesus, God is trying to kill me. I downloaded the new update and my stupid client does this crap where it it fades to white, then the buttons on the playerlist are blank with blue boxes where the text should be.

Yeah that's not cool at all.

Someone PLEASE fix the horrible horrible fade to white thing.
It happens when I don't focus on the client then go back to it or something.

It fades to nearly completely white while there are some shapes and colors still visible, like everything is almost blended into a white color.

That terrible glitch is gone in the new beta build.

One complaint I have is the fact I can't click the tab over and over to open PMs like v5.
Also when I get a cross server PM, the bubble on the far right tab won't leave even after I opened that cross server PM, I have to read all other masses and PMs in the client before it disappears.

Changing character images is very very glitchy.
People keep saying that the head looks the same when I switch outfits, and when I try to sethead whatever.png it goes back to the last head I was wearing.

The only way I fixed this is by loading V5 again to change my outfit.

I found a problem! (At least with the update) on Era when shooting a gun up close to a player it goes right through them without taking damage but when they do it, it affects me and makes me angry when fighting >:O

Not sure if you're joking but it's not so much a glitch as intended functionality. Bullets shoot from the offset of the gun, so if the gun is "over" the player, the bullet will fire over them.

The best solution I can think of would be to move the bullet left in the GANI and then move the offset the same distance left in the gun (and do the same for each direction).

Well I was using both Glock and Ivory berretas which have short barrels to begin with and i showed some people so i stood right infront of them and shot and the bullets went right through them, had not have this problem beforehand.

I see what you mean. Projectiles are shot farther than they were in v5. I've reported this a few times but no one seems to care. Sorry for the confusion, and thanks for the -rep whoever that was.

I really don't like V6,
I hate everything being in different windows
I hate not being able to change my font
I also find it looks a bit blurry
Doesn't load my body/shield unless I change to the old client.
Needs a lot of work.

Ok well this "Bullet projectile" thing is getting me very pissed. It's really unfair for those who experience it. Also always screws up and affects my gameplay. It happens with every single gun that I use so its not "suppose" to happen. If i were raiding and it comes to close quarters im useless since my gun does no damage regardless of my position but the opponent can kill me while he is right next to me but he gets no damage. Even during spars i cant damage the person if they are rushing me but if they do it they can damage me. z.z This has to get fixed.

I don't see any difference for projectiles, they have not been changed at all. It could be possible that it's a script problem or just different display?
I have no idea what you mean with head problem.

It's not a script problem. My original post on it shows how you can reproduce it, but I'll give advice again:
  1. Get a MK23 on Era.
  2. Find/create a vertical wall that is 3 tiles wide.
  3. Stand facing the wall, flush to its left edge.
  4. Shoot the MK23.

On your client, you will notice that the bullet does not go through the wall. This is the expected behavior and is what happened on v5. For every other client, the bullet will look like it went through the 3-tile wall. This does not happen if the shooter is using v5.

What he means by the head thing is if you put on a head at random times (but most of the time) it won't show for users who are using V5 so you have to set the head again. I also found a bug when using IMG tags in PMs with .gif files, in order for the image to actually animate, you have to left mouse click and hold down onthe scroll bar on the PM window.

In other words: sethead (and setshield, setsword, setbody) randomly only work on your own client and the changes don't go to the server (doesn't change in /open acct).

Happens to me too.

If I change my outfit or set my head different, it APPEARS to change on my client, but really it doesn't on the server or anyone else's client. It's very annoying, and the only way you can change it is by going on version 5.

I saw that too, but I opened up another client and it animates when you open it from there. Did you open it up in history? Maybe it's the history box's problem, because it seems like it doesn't update the image unless you do something with the history box, like you stated with scrolling down the box.

What do you mean with "put on head"? The sethead command is server side and will work fine.
Animations are not supported in external pm windows, weren't you previously complaining that gifs in pms crash v5?

Not sure what it is, but the head appears to be set for you, but for everyone else they don't see the change. Also, when you log back on the server you will find your head as head0.png, not the one you actually set. It happens all the time.

I wonder if this is something that could possibly be affected by whether or not it is the default sethead command being used, as on Classic for example we have those commands disabled and they are instead scripted, with the player.head variable being modified clientside, wouldn't know if this is the case with UN however.

95% sure that it is player.head being changed on clientside

that seems like it could potentially be part of the problem.

Wouldn't surprise me if the ability to properly modify those variables clientside has been disabled as a means of preventing those without a customisation pack on iPhone servers from being able to alter their appearance beyond a check such as the onHeadChanges() function, or to prevent the hacking of it.

Please allow people to have the option of using the OLD / original PM list.
I personally, really really like it and absolutely prefer it over the integrated or newer one.

There are still improvements to be made on the new scripted playerlist, probably you can post some suggestions in the feature request subforum.

Annoying bug that's been plaguing V6 is how the client window sometimes freezes, the game still runs but everything in the client window is frozen. You can still see the playerlist work though.

It happens mostly when you resize the window.

@ bullet projectile, there is the fact that i cant shoot and damage the person upclose and certain guns i can shoot through certain length walls (unstick me walls/bushes on era) while damaging unexpected players with invisible bullets, ex shotgun, sten. Etc.

Also in the sound, it sometimes has a sudden jump in amplification to the sound, like a very loud popping sound randomly, and it hurts my ears.

Also you should add an option to mute the choir sfx when receiving a PM.
