Uhh well just a suggestion, how about you make it where theres no econemy, the guns are free, but you have to find the guns all around the gmap along with ammo and explosives and plenty of other military things. Story: Military came here to stop zombies and failed and left endless supplies of weaponary, explosives, heavy artillery and so on.

I think this would create more exploration and make it a lot better on the server as something new and different to modern servers. Please reply back.

Yeah, or it would allow Zombies to completely obliterate everything in the entire universe, hence-forth "Apocalypse".

I think making the assumption that this will be a era/ghetto duplicate is just as criminal as the person making the duplicate server. Give the guy suggestions, don't attack him.

The idea is cool, and graphics can be fixed once ideas are realized.

My thoughts:

1. Every hour spawns a ton of zombies on the gmap
2. Everything not bolted to the ground is moveable to create barriers.
3. Inner City to defend (most protected wont die as much)
4. Outer City to scavenge (you're pretty much a sitting duck to zombies)
5. If you don't want strictly PVE you can have people select between Classes/Races
IE:
Good Human (Does things without being bad)
Bad Human (Kills other Human players for supplies or cash for supplies)
Zombie (Incredible Speed and Melee will be hard to make balanced vs guns)
6. Repair Kits that you can buy from the inner city or scavenge in the outer city
7. If you're going to do a achievement/experience thing for better weapons and perks.. then. If zombies achieve destroying the inner city they get exp towards leveling. If you're a human then killing zombies and successfully repairing blockades give exp.

I'm sure I missed a few points but this is a starter.

That means that Good Humans only kill zombies, and Bad Humans kill the Good Humans whom can't kill the Bad Humans.
And then everyone wants to be the Bad Humans and the Good Humans go to waste.

So you honestly think I would let Bad Humans just kill and not be killed? No. There will be PK between Goods and Bads but the good won't gain exp from killing, but the bad humans would have a penalty of some sort..

But there will be benefits for being a Good Human..

I'm all about balancing on 3 choices.

Yep I am a rare voice, although there isn't much to expect from this server.

Why: Most modern servers fail and cannot make it. Others are like Graal Ghetto and such with a bad community and corrupted staff and are dead.

I'd like to see this server actually become something though considering the idea is well and if you think everything out correctly hopefully you'll become successful in making it a brand new modern server.

I'm going to be entirely honest with you because I've been in the same position you are in right now. Unless you go into this with a solid plan, you are going to fail.

Right now, I'm seeing a 0% chance of success for this server...why? Because you have absolutely no clue what you are doing.

I strongly suggest you figure out what you want out of this server, set up a list which prioritizes the work that needs to be done, find supporters if you can, get some very basic work done to show (visuals work wonders), and then come back here and ask for help. Ideally, you should have done all of this BEFORE renting the server, but it's better late than never. Get organized, or just quit before you waste even more of your time.

When i bought my server, When it was called The Light i didn't even know what RC was and ****.. And now see what the server came to, Personally i think Noctorious is a very nice server.

I never had a clue of what i was doing, And i didn't even know how to open RC, How it owkred and everything. We have had many different tilesets, staffs, items, graphics, scripts and idea's, And still this have come out of nothing!

I still don't like that idea. It doesn't make sense IMO.
Maybe "fend for yourself" for everyone but no one should get exp from killing while another person doesn't. Maybe stat bonuses over the other, sure.

+ All the really good awesome Dev's are doing work for Stefan which they get paid for and then they say no to new servers.

Globals don't work on any servers in most cases, unless you mean the GDT, and they don't collectively work anywhere.

I don't think this is true, a couple of them work on servers as far as i know.
And it'd be kinda backfiring if the few staff working on a server would have to leave that to go and help some other servers, would be kinda pointless.

Great Idea, will consider using it. Although we will need to greatly expand on this idea.

I will admit, we are a LITTLE unorganized, a not too bad though. We are very effiicent when it comes to getting work done. We have about 6-8 guns done with walk, idle, and fire animations. Kody Stund and I are getting starting on making the reload animations. One reload animation is currently done. Also, our gun system is complete. Now, we need to just get health script completed.

Still Hiring! I'm putting together a new tileset, since our current one is completely unorganized and not perfectly aligned. So i'm going to have to get alot of tiles from the old one and align them and add more tiles. News Tiles are really needed.

Congrats! Now keep going, even when things get slow, you can't give up. EVERY developing sever will/has hit a period will work will come to a halt. If you don't give up at this point, and make it through; I have no doubt you server will be a success. Zodiac for a while was a *dead* server and because a few people stuck with it, it made it through.
