So, if y'all have any ideas for Graal X I guess you can post them here. It is suppose to be a "realistic" server. Trying to not force the server to be like Era with the constant-killing (though there will be a bit).

I'd also love to find someone who can RP well enough, but I know that people rping on Graal... does NOT happen sadly. Would be cool if someone can design an RP course and I'll script it that you will need to complete when first starting the server.. we will see.

So pop your ideas here ;D

I hate custom bodies.. i mean sure they can look amazing on an server.. ive made many before and have helped sprite some of Madj's for icarus and atrius and its just a major paine... the only reason icarus didnt work was because we couldnt get a ganier to gani it and a spriter to finish the new params.. (Which was why the ganier couldnt gani it) so everything was riding on the bodies and when those failed, the whole server failed.

Icarus' custom body, if ya dunno what it looked like its my avatar pic or w/e, i made the head and shirt.. woo


but i would like to stick with custom bodies on graal X... KuJi just rescripted all of the systems like twice now for everything we have added and it just takes soooo much time out of development for all of the staff because it changes so much like size of levels, new ganis for everything, new scripts, lots of new graphics.. especially on a server that has been developing already

idk. Pretty sure tho we are stickin to classic, ATLEAST for now untill we have alotta free time on Deving that we can mess around with something that big.

and then if we do use custom bodies it would most likely be icarus' since we have permission to use those and they are still my favorite outta all the custom bodies i have ever seen so thatll kill sometime..

and im tired and im just rambling so ima stop.

i would deffinatly suggest custom boddies, but only if you understand how to make them. custom boddies need to be made with minimalization as a basis, look at the way golds bodies are designed on a sheet, count how much work that is, compared to how much work it is to build the hundreds of sprites it takes to create 1 old graal body,

your streets look pretty barren too, they could stand to have more stuff put on the sidewalks, drains on the street, sewer caps, SOMEthing to make the urban streets stand out as much as your beautiful inside and suburban levels.

Also would like to say that GX is not allowed on hosted for a bit due to my "attitude" towards sands of glory via hosting the server files on my website where no one without the link can get to and was never given out..
o yeah, and according to HoudiniMan he says that Vulcan and Bjorn both failed GX, but he passed it saying it has potential blah blah.. heard that so many times before. Just the fact that you guys miss the unique, and Vulcan should not be allowed to inspect anyway as he currently works for Era and will side with them until they are dead in a few months anyway... and for one thing he isn't touching GX thanks.t

back to working on a tileset that learns from the awsomeness of this one without making it seem like a ripoff. im confused as to anyone with this skill is sticking around on graal, this work is professional at least.

I dont like your tiles and I believe if your going to try to create a modern type server (Which Era has done) your going to have to take on areas of both Graphics and game play.

Sadly those tiles seem to have good textures and shadeing but a lot of the line art is pretty bad and the way they all all come together doesnt look good to me either.

My Opinion though, dont cry or cut yourself over it.

There are over 100 classic servers, I don't see *****ing on that.

But then theres 2 current modern servers and you start to *****? I don't see your point.

About the tiles, can you make better.. if you are not a gfxer.. don't complain.

Look for one Ima just say this, that was the damn point I was trying to state. Im saying if your going to make a damn Modern server your going to be taking on graal current and only modern server Era. Its fact, please dont cut yourself over it.

Its like Dark Messiah and Oblivon or Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 or PC and Macs.

If your going to create something that isn't brand new your going to be taking on some sort of opponent and your going to want to be better than them. DA.

Im just going to say this, i vhelemently dissagree, given permission from the creators and owner of the server,(Pretty ****ing please! ) i would use this in a flash, they are some of the best well made tilesets ive seen, i do have some problems with them but most of that is simply because my server will use custom boddies that are considerably taller and bigger. the only thing that really sticks out are the windows, anything else can be fixed with a shade or two

Well heres the thing... The tileset was given to graal x by one of the coolest people i have ever met on graal and I respect him alot (Madj) so therefore since he actually let Graal X use his tileset instead of just DLing it i cannot give it away to any other servers, but thanks.

And i know the tileset isnt the best.. and niether are the levels.. but keep in mind.. these are the first levels made for graal X.. that is why we are working on new OWs and stuff.

We have some great LATs.. very few but the ones we have are very good.

That island you are playing on was started as just a test island.. im not sure how it ended up being the main island now but i think i have an idea that might make you happy.. i just gotta talk to Joey a bit about it.. but hes at school and im headin that way

I seriously doubt that will be the main island when the others finished. Something tells me it will be great.
