I think it pretty much has to do with younger people wanting to feel like they are the majority and that they are doing something exclusively. If the game is AIMED at young teenagers then the young teenagers will usually be the majority, and when this happens, they will look differently at older AND younger people playing the game.

I don't think it's an "I'm trying to escape my parents" thing. It's more of an "older people already have so many exclusive things that we're not allowed to do" thing.

Younger teenagers can't legally buy cigarettes or alcohol, drive a car, go to bars, go to an R rated movie without a guardian, get a good job, etc etc etc... The list is a long one. So they feel threatened when an adult is playing on a game where they are the majority. Like "you don't belong here, go raise a family or watch an R rated movie". lol... That's just my spin on things.

Back when I was like 18-19 I was playing Gunbound and someone who was like 15 said I was too old to be playing. I'm like... uhhh the game worms was out before you were even born! lol

Anyway, the reason it has gotten better for you is that people have gotten used to it, and in game, you're not 'in the way' of them living in their own little, adult-free, world.

I'm willing to bet more people on these forums get mad at you not because of your age, but how you show it. Not in the way you admit your age, but how you act like the people here are less worthy/mature. Basically, it's a big no-no to treat teenagers and young adults like kids.

Playing games are not age-dependent. Games are a ample area: soccer is also a game as all kind of card games, roulette and so on.
So universal say: playing isn't something for older people is wrong.

I know many other persons playing graal or games similar to graal.

I have no problem with her, considering she does nothing to me at all. I havnt cheated in this game since 2002, so I think its alittle late for a punishment buddy. Its 2006 and infact I dont care enough about graal to even cheat let alone that I easily become good at any actual gameplay graal after 6-7 years. +1 point for me, an **** off.

Edit: This a little edit for the below post, Ive never been banned on graal on any server for cheating in any way. Only time Ive been banned is on babylon when me and the development team cant agree with each other. So if thats pretty much what I said, maybe you should get your eyes checked.

Well I read the original post and I guess Ill answer it. For one Moonie your an Adult and also a Parent. Most of us are teenagers and infact enjoy the fact that on this medicore lil game the teenagers truly control it. But when someone like who comes in and forces rules on us, we just get annoyed. For example, I have no been the one to actually follow the rules on graal since I started. Ive used trainers, Ive cursed, abused bugs..etc etc (Just about everything) and infact rlly never got into any big trouble. But when I played a server like npulse that was no different from all the medicore classic servers, I got spazzed the **** out of by the staff. Mainly because they are all older, because I simply know that anyone younger didnt and still dont care.

Well I guess Im just saying at our age (Im 16) we just dont like rules. No one has a problem with older people playin, we have a problem with older people getting in our way in the real world and on this damn game. Even though some older people on this game are pretty cool lol.

We KNOW what this thread's about. But be wary when you make topics about yourself, in general, people get pretty fustrated with you, and posting here, you were bound to hear some of that. Why? Because most people here don't care about your age, it's your actions that bother us.

I always thought it was kinda cool that you played graal, even if most people your age don't even touch video games. Just think about what's going on. You're a 30-something year old and you're trying to make peace and friendship with a bunch of early teen nerds. You post on here in the same maneurism as other members and talk to others as if they are on the same level as yourself. There's nothing actually WRONG with this, but in real life, that's a bit out of the ordinairy. Someone your age wouldn't really hang out with a bunch of kids for leisure in real life. It's not as deep as people are making it out to be, it's just plain odd. And you know how well people take to things that are odd. Especially on Graal, a place full of *****s who hide behind their screens calling each other noobs and whatever else.

The problem is plain and simply that you are in a community comprised mainly of immature kids. Gaining everyones respect would be impossible, and I'm not really sure why you would want it anyway.

When I was younger we always had a computer and my parents weren't on it longer then 30 minutes a day. I would of yelled and complained if they got active in a game online. The time you are spending on this game is time wasting away that you can spend with your family. Get your **** together and realize what is truly important in your life: Family or Graal.

Actually, I've seen this before. (It was on some tv show). The thing is, you do have to budget your time. Teenagers don't, that's a given. And they normally won't care that their parents don't (unless they're hogging the only computer!). I'm not saying darlene doesn't budget her time, but she is on often. You gotta do what's right for you and your family. As long as you make up for your onlie time with family activitie, it's really not a big deal.
