Old classic

so what is the most remarkable thing you remember playing either graal 2000 or 2004?
Was it a favourite quest you liked, do you remember a great war?

i remember a barrel trip to this island, where you had to play moses to open a path in the water..lol..

Definitely the players. I dunno, maybe it was because I was much younger back then, but I just enjoyed everything the players made with Classic. Not the houses, but just the playable atmosphere. Also, I liked fighting in those throne wars!

They were 'solid' for back then :P
All they really were, were push blocks and kill the baddy quests. The more complicated ones were nearly always broken, or the bosses were, causing you to waste 3 hours getting through the glitchy 'dungeon' only to see it was a waste because the boss screwed up. I only did the quests to get them done and be on with it, because having anything less than the max hearts/level 3 sword/shield was like being a freshman in Highschool, they were frustrating, really. I would, however, love to see them remade in today's engine, hopefully glitchless and more creative(since there are a whole lot more possibilities).

Apparently a script for bowling has already been made, it just needs uploading It was one of the most fun things to do on GTA.

Lots of players, and the fact that I had to learn how to PK fairly well from the very beginning, beings so many people wanted to kill me constantly because I was an "old woman"

It was a blast, actually. I miss mass pking.

It doesn't matter whether someone tries to remake classic, or tries to make a playerworld similar. You cannot bring back the era, or the community. It is just simply, gone....

They just don't build players like they used to. Now when I was a youngin!...
Darlene is right, you can't replace the community. That generation is gone for the most part. We should of stopped telling them to grow up and stop being a noob...they listened.

Between 2000-2002 I'd say the noobs had a lot more fear/respect for long-term players and staff. Noobs now-a-days have a chip on their shoulder often accompanied by some sort of misguided elitist mindset, and this is only after a week's worth of gameplay. I suppose it doesn't help that the people who are setting the examples are usually the basis or extreme version of that generalization themselves, though.

Either way, sometimes the way the community collectively acts makes me feel like

You can bring back the old times, but it will always be populated with new times. I doubt it was this kind of content that attracted people, but the players back then, and you can't bring those back.
