Improvements suggested for Sparring planet.

As much as I love this new sparring planet, it needs to be fixed up a bit.

First of all, people are let into the spar room at random, meaning I sparred once in ten minutes while all the noobs around me sparred 5 times in ten minutes. Please make this more organized, as in first person to the door is next one in.

Secondly, the jetpack needs to be activated on the outside rim of the world, mainly because some of the times people get stuck out there after they die and have to wait and use unstick me, which is quite unconvinient.

Thirdly, we need more sparring arenas, when there are 8 people outside waiting and you just want to spar one friend, you have to kill alot of people to get to your friend x.x

Lastly, people shouldn't be allowed to fire their guns untill someone says start, people just run in there randomly and start firing, taking advantage of the person who just won and not giving them an opportunity to be preparred.

Please take this suggestions into consideration.

But wouldnt that mean that people could use jetpacks and go into the arena? Think before you type...

A queue system was added today. I think this has solved the orginization problems.

I disagree. People would be able to use this to go in to the arenas and annoy people. The people who encounter the glitch can simply use unstick me.

Yes, this is definately a disadvantage to the current system. Maybe once one of you when a spar you can request someone to be moved up in the queue? Though, that has potential to be abused.

I like the idea that Stefan said...having a 5 second delay. It would prevent laming when you come in and also allow people to get on the starting points.

Since my jetpack idea wasnt so good might I suggest we get rid of the star scenery for this level? Although this would probably make the level scenery a little bit worse, it would be less of an annoyance and add more space to this tiny planet.

Also when sparring someone. If the fight swerves over to the bottom of the fighting arena, sometimes you walk into the door and end up outside. Then some other guy comes in and you must wait to resume your spar.

Maybe the blue circles should be of use. Both players stand on them and they both have to say start to get spar started?

Not when I play. When I go on I easily move out of the way of the shots.
If I can do it anyone can. ;o

Certain people can't. Some "noobs" use the goonadier and slime the whole area. Others use the chaingun.

Also, have the spar rating be able to be hidden, I walk in a spar, kill one person, the rest look at my spar rating and how I killed the other person so fast then run to the other spar room...

What's funny, is that everyone is obsessed with the spar rating now.

Well it happened about 9 times, I killed everyone in that spar room then they ran to th south one, I got in that on and kiled 1 person. They all fled to the north one. I then had to wait until i could get out to go to that one and this continued for about 20-30 minutes...

U should disable the weapons outside the areana cause its the most annoying thing wen people start shooting flames in the way so u cant see jack all. And the laming at the door is getting really repetative u should have like a count down before duel starts :O Other than that i think all guns should be allowed..bring the pain xD

I didn't enter a spar arena on purpose, I was just standing next to it... maybe make it so you have to grab it with A.

the sparrin needs seiose modifications, ALL grenades need disabling, i think spar rating should be changed to a kind of wins/losses format, 3 secons invincibility period for both players at start of spar with a countdown, chemical trooper class should be replaced with sapper class, to join the queue you must grab the door instead of stand with it, another arena should be added for team sparrin and last but not least, disable gunshots out side of arenas. I think thats all of em.

sounds good to me though i only disagree with the bombs, cause bomb fighting is, also, a form of sparring...so....if you want them gone cause of laming, then bye to red rifle, blue rifle, g18, chaingun, crossbow, goonader, etc. cause they are also considered lame...itd be way too boring to remove so many weapons...

i say, everythin you said is good besides the bomb disabling

Well, then killing a "noob" is considered just as good as killing a very skilled person, the spar rating does not show skill 100% acurrrately but it does a damn good job . (2606 wooooot)

eh even still, then its just more of a challenge, the space isnt THAT small, you can be in distance away from the explosion...and shouldnt the 3 second delay also work for bombs? if not, admins just need to fix that, then its all good...

sorry, but a spar is a spar no matter what you use, i strongly agree with not removin bombs

Pipes and bombs are easiest to kill close range, they have to have a perfect hit close range to do 1-hit kill, but pipes have a 0.25-0.5 second delay, and in the time slot they're completely vulnerable... Just go close and hope to hell you don't have to reload...

If you find it hard to kill someone who is pipe bomb-laming in the spar arena, you nee to have your brain examined, have surgery, and then try again. As long as you don't get hit by the initial throws when you are warped into the room, you're fine. And I know that this doesn't only work for me, ask Snoro, who loves to pipe-lame in the spar arena. I've killed him 2 out of 3 times when he was pipe laming, and the time I died was because I accidentally entered the wrong spar queue.

Bombs should stay, as Touya is trying to say, they are a weapon, I know all of you Zone players hate explosions, for what reason I do not know, but consider all the downsides of using bombs plxx

1)They cannot hit at long range and they have horrible accuracy in medium range.
2)They have a somewhat large freeze time.

This last one is the downside I consider most important...

3)You have a limited number of them, of wich afterwards you must -BUY- (Money needed), now unless the guy that is pipe "laming" in the spar plannet, was winning quite a few Death matches, he could not have aforded so many pipes, on wich example, he/she did go through trouble to obtain said Explosive device.

Back to the last civilized post before monkeys invaded this topic... Bombs are a weapon, over-powered in my opinion but they are without a doubt a weapon that takes skill to spar with...

They take no skill at all. Well, besides throwing them in the general direction of the enemy.

actually they do, with the freeze time after throwing, its fairly easy for the opponent to dodge, once he/she dodges they then have the chance to attack you

once you dodge a bomb its fairly easy to kill the opponent

when using bombs you really need precise accuracy, hence skill

No you don't. Pipebombs burst into smaller bombs. Creating a larger damage range. The freeze time is no large problem, if you hit the person that is. Even if you don't hit the opponent then the opponent has to make a recovery from dodging the last blast by watching out for the extra shells. Giving time for the user to throw another bomb.

I respect Dark's opinion, but I tell you, it takes a great amount of skill to throw it in someone's general direction if they are moving in circles around you with the speed of a commando. It also helps if you don't lag, either.
But he's right about everything else; the freeze time and the recovery time, I mean. It is simply easy to at least not take damage from someone by making them back off. And pipebombs probably have one of the most random damage bases in the history of mankind; If the initial blast misses, you can still take 70+ damage easy from getting bounced off of the explosions >.<
