some zone armor...a helmet and some body armor...hopefully you guys like...i'm goin to work on the shading before this thread turns into a discussion.....i'll post the new one when it's done, just wanna let you guys no what to expect

Helmet could do with a good bit of work but the armor is cool . Like Gambet said some pants to go with it too would be nice.

Hmmm the helmet is not bad needs some more work
- the left/right view need to be improved, the lower part
of it should may be disconnected from the main helmet, like
in the down view
- the down view is not covering the full head it seems
- plain gray is boring, may be try sine dark blue color with
symbols on it (to make it look electric)

hmmm, wasn't sure what color you wanted...so i made it this one...it's a dark blue/grey...

new one to the left, old to the right(so it's easier to compare them)

also if they are put in game, maybe they could come seperate(gotta by the body suit seperate from the body armor and the helmet seperate from the other 2) and maybe(since it's armor) they could increase/decrease stats:

Helmet($2500):reduses damage by 1 or 2
Body Armor($5000): reduses damage by 5 or 6 decreases speed by 2
Body Suit(3500): increases speed by 3 or 4 and increases re-load time and shooting time(so for example, if you were using apprices, you'd be able to shoot like 2 times faster(instead of shoot..shoot, it'd be shoot,shoot(if this makes any sence)and you'd be able to reload faster...unless it's to much scripting, or to much work...)

lemme no if you like these idea's....i'll start making more Armor sence i guess i do better at making these than weapons xD

Gambet you wanted to see some legs/arms to go along with the suit so here they are, also fixed the gold armor, 1 pixel was off :/ and it made it look off, so i fixed that, also i've got a group pic and added 2 more armors, only the front views are done, so if you guys like them, then i'll make the other directions...

What's the point on making different color armors with only one color helmet? Makes no sense and has no sense of style

i wanted everything to be bought seperate, like you gotta buy the helmet, seperate from the body armor, and the body armor seperate from the sleeves/pants(body suit)...this way people could make there own look, and no one would look to much alike...

I like the armor design but i don't like the colors but the rest of it is so cool just make them like black, blue, and, red. Make them Dark colors light colors wouldn't show up good in the snow if you know what i mean

but if everything were bought seperate, they'd have these possiblites:

(the body suit would be the sleeves and the pants)

1)blue/grey helmet + gold armor + the blue/grey body suit
2)no helmet + blue/grey armor + gold body suit
3)no helmet + gold armor + no body suit
4)no helmet + blue/grey armor + no body suit
5)blue/grey helmet + blue/grey armor + blue/grey body suit
6)blue/grey helmet + blue/grey armor + blue/grey body suit
7)blue/grey helmet + gold armor + gold body suit
8)no helmet + no armor + grey body suit
9)no helmet + no armor + blue/grey bdoysuit

that's all i can think of, if i missed one lemme no but as you can see, this would add more of a difference, to your character(since some people look alike)and it'd also make your characters stats different

I think helmets and body protection should be independent. The body needs to be finished (a full body file like zone_body100.png or so)

I really like the blue and gold armor... It looks pretty keen. Not so much the black an purple armor though, I think it's just because of the large purple parts on it... I don't really think that shade fits. That's just me though.

The basic idea of the helmet seems kind of bland, it looks alot like a motorcycle helmet (completely smooth) and not very futuristicy... It needs some cool details if only for aesthetics.

The shading on the helmet isn't that great. If you think about the shape of a helmet, the majority of it is really just part of a sphere... Maybe you should try shading the top/round part of the helmet like a half-sphere?... I know Tyrial had a pretty decent sphere shading tutorial around here... but the links are working anymore.

I'll post a sphere I shaded a while ago for a different example though... I'm not sure if it's perfect, but it's pretty close.

It's not much of a tutorial, but it's the best I have to offer at the moment.

Also, practice dithering alot for your graphics (Dithering is a sort of checkerboard pattern... like in my sphere). Dithering is an essential part of pixel graphics. Search google for some Dithering tutorials, Im sure you'll find something useful... Maybe you already knew about dithering... I just never noticed any in any of your work so I thought I would mention it.
