Translation - Übersetzung

The German translation is online now, soon more languages will follow - french, spanish, portuguese, swedish, korean.
Almost 100% of the game text is translated, except what players say. If you find problems with the translation then please report it here.

Die deutsche Übrsetzung von Graal Kingdoms ist jetzt online - beinahe alles ist übersetzt, außer dem was die Spieler sagen. Wenn du Fehler findest, dann bitte hier erwähnen so daß wir es korrigieren können.

Bekannte Fehler:
- Einige Events-Gegenstände haben englischen Namen
- Wenn ein englischer Spieler von einem Monster getötet wird dann sieht man den englischen Namen des Monsters
- Manchmal habe Gegenstände keinen Artikel, das ging nicht anders bzw. wäre zu viel Aufwand gewesen

um, could it be that there are many people who do not live in the united states?

He is just trying to make it so that more people can play, and actually understand what the npc is telling them.


How would you feel if your playing and all of a sudden you see like chinese come up, and you can't read it. Won't be to fun eh?

and stefan is most of the time busy with the new versions of graal, and or working w/ kingdoms

The last part of the mushroom lord guy (Shuki Oppenheimer or something like that) is still in english (If you bringe me a spore ill give you this antique magnifying glass)

When someone else attacks you it says "XYZ punches dich"

When you buy something it says "you paid XX platinumtaler"

If I find more ill post them

Yes that's complicated since it makes one attack message for both, will try to fix that when I get time.

Ok fixed that, it will be fixed next time the translations are updated.

And a real problem:
I got 2 "Schmieden" skills... one for crafting and one for smithing
One of them should get another name

More bugs: (i hope double posting is ok i this case)

when i use a holding item, it still says bag or cannon in the right
part of the inventory

especially alchemy items have not been translated completely (for example: wasser of wise)

Some quests have not ben translated (Old lady in Samsuro...)

And what please is a "verbrennst"

Yea I'm playing the English version and I keep seeing German words on some things when I play. I have a picture of the 2nd time it happened. The first time it happened was in the name of a spell book. But anyways, heres the screenie.

Ok fixed (hopefully):
- replaced 'wichst' with 'weichst'
- fixed the language used for stats changes ("You seem to look better")
- "torch" is "Fackel" again, although the same word is used for an attack message too (You torch wolf or so)
- the "You paid" and "You lack" messages should be translated now
- the ship messages should be translated too
- renamed the crafting skill to "Handwerk"

The alchemy items are a little bit complicated, I guess they need to be english to work for the alchemy recipes.

Someone traded me something for free yesterday, and in the price thing, instead of nothing, it had a german word, probably was nichts or something

The way I get it, you get to see status notifivations or whatever in the language the persone uses who's concerned - i.e. if an evilbomy kills someone using german, you'll see "Böser Bomy killed XY." Same with someone killing someone, for example with large bullet will become with Grosses Geschoss.

No
I think based on the language the client sends to the server, the server gets the texts not out of the scripts directly but from a translations database.

Because not everything is completely translated I guess.

No, because there's a problem with the interaction of multi-language players.

'You trade Flammende Schword of Bile+1 for 1337 platinum coins'

As I said above, the player's selected language appears to affect the message that is globally displayed for kills and duels. While this may be correct, why do we get halfhalf items in stores? I saw a Kochbuch: dust von Frost today...

English people can trade the Dagger and then they have a Dolch von Bile +1 :o

The bugs seem to be less frequent, for me anyway. I still step into a glitch now and then and sometimes I hear of a Boser Bomy or a weird Grimoir name but I kinda look at it as "Learn German the Fast and Fun Way!"

Maby they should make it so a random language is used when you sign on, rather than base it on what language the client is set up to use.

here`s a very great idea for stefan....make and account...act like a normal person..make a bunch of friends....and im sure u`ll be able to figure out 10000000 problem`s and glitches people have been abusing behind ur back....or u could sign on ur name.....then everyone becomes good little boy`s and girl`s again .lel

Are you dense or something? If stefan had enough time to actually -play- graal rather than managing a business and a few games at the same time, don't you think he would play more often, and perhaps do undercover schemes like that?

I wanted to point out there is a spelling error when you pick up carrots..instead of it saying you picked up 10 carrots it says "you picked up 10 carrotses

I've just got to edit the po files, all the translations themselves have been complete. I'm fairly certain this will be up very soon.
