Playerworld affiliation?
|
Okay first off, this is about the following new command:
with the script command 'serverwarp <world>;'
you can warp the player to another server; the
'world' parameter must be the internal name of the
server (for classic it is main, for Graal2001 newmain,
Andor bravo, N-Pulse npulse, ...
Now I'm wondering.. maybe certain playerworlds could "affiliate" with others.. like for example, if your pw has a lobby of some sort, you could have a "portal" to other playerworlds, and they could have a "portal" back. So like for example:
On Playerworld A, there is a lobby, and in the lobby (or online start whatever) there is a little warp door. There is a sign before it that says "This is a warp to the playerworld <name>. We have affiliated with them because they have a very nice server, so walk through the door to check them out." The player walks through the portal, and is sent to "Playerworld B". Then Playerworld B also has a portal, going back to Playerworld A.
It's not much, but I think it might help to get new visitors to pw's where they normally wouldn't think about going.
Maybe there should be a server dedicated to having portals for all the pws, kinda like the serverlist, but instead, there is a bunch of information and stuff for each pw on it.. like maybe a sample level of the playerworld, and some details on some of the good stuff it has.
Just a thought. |
