Lightbulb Suggestion for Providence

This concerns the "Camoflauge" lute sequence. It's really cool to turn invisible, and there's nothing wrong with it at the moment. But if Providence will ever have something like Dustari's bridge, maybe you should make something like an invisibility cloak, or magic ring a la Lord of the Rings. Basically it'd be like the Camoflauge sequence, but you'd be able to move around, still invisible. Since this offers a huge advantage in combat, maybe it should cause you to lose health slowly, and you can't use your weapons while invisible. This would allow for stealthy infiltration of castles, etc., which would be great for roleplaying.

True. True. But in that case it would need to be a relatively fast MP drain.

Thieves will be getting an invisibility cloak that makes them hidden. They can't hurt anyone when they attack, so they have to remove it to attack. But if they want to steal or pick locks or something, they can continue wearing it.

Thumbs down

ha,i chose thief and that invisible thing is kinda dumb-if you press 'r' to show the stats you could easily tell where the thief is! works the same way when someone is hiding in a patch of bushes. itz not a bad idea but i dont think you should be wasting time and a npc just on a cloak, add something to it a bit.dont just make it plain like that!

That would take 10 seconds to script. But I could do it so you rapidly press "s" while the cloak is on and your weapons are gone. That would be tougher...

Rapidly press S? Why? And even if you did that then it'd still take 10 seconds.

TrueHeaT is an unknown quantity at this point
shouldn't this go in the "providence suggestion box" thread?
