I like it too, but it only shows one part of Graal, it shows nothing of the classic graal.

I think that it's very important we don't orient the webpage to the existing community members, but potential community members. I don't think we should emphasize some western sense of equality and try to get every aspect (or even the more popular aspects, from the community point of view) of Graal into the introductory page.

Yes, this only makes sense.

I mean, it would be awesome to show all styles of servers on GraalOnline, but you have to think about the "potential community" as stated by Stephen that they need to see something that will possibly be attracting to them.

I just don't want to create a header that is simply for potential players but something that feels warming for existing members. So right now I'm battling myself on how to implement eye candy with alot different features Graal has to give, without it being a "2D newbfest LAWL".

I mean who wouldn't be attracted at the view of a 3D looking game that has some originallity to it? Thats why I picked Graal Kingdoms, but more headers is on the way were I'm really going to try to catch ALL aspects of Graal. (i.e Zone, Classic, GK, Era, ect.)

I thought so too, but it all depends on what color Jeff decides to make the template I suppose, if the template will be dark, I want something that wont contrast too much with the rest of the template.

Well, I didnt mean all the different styles. There is a big difference between classic style and gold server style. That's what I meant.

Not sure how much I like this one:

I don't take credit for this artwork at all, I just edited/spiced it up a bit. (I believe the credit goes to Cyberjoeurs):

Needs something that looks exciting, also there is better things you can get from GK than slashing a bomy, possibly some pvp or something?

Could just create a bunch of banners for different servers and randomly rotate them every time the page loads. It would look much better than trying to make one banner out of all the different themes and styles.

I personally prefer the classic "Graal" (wish the swoosh) style banner. I have the PSD source file from the banner I created for the classic iPhone app if I can find where I saved it... it's in the same style.

Can't say I really support this idea, Graal is already lacking a centralized theme as it is, making a website constantly shift themes would just add to the confusion.

Then Graal needs a more centralized theme before that can happen. However, apparently the topic is not about a centralized theme, so I think I can safely disregard that sort of approach. So until that happens, I'd rather random banners than a jumbled one that tries to reflect the many servers.

Stuck on looking for a centralized theme? Lost for focus on the most impressive Graal features? Well Luda and I have came up with quite possibly the best representation of Graal, and more importantly it's best feature.. Flying Technology!

Let us know if it needs more contrast.

Well, part of the website building is also to build a nice centralized theme. I have someone working on a new login screen theme and stuff and plan to eventually have a centralized theme. I think I'd like it if we actually worked towards a good goal rather than working towards a quick fix of a bunch of random banners (which requires more work anyways).
