I don't technically have money, but I'll try to coax my parents into letting me tap my small reserve so I can get the VIP account soon. I want badly to see the 3D stuff.

He's giving those who have a VIP account a chance to look and play with the new Graal features that will be released after the first of the year for everyone to see. Also, it is to my understanding that VIP accounts will have permission to 3D development tools for playerworlds.

Well, using the same code like the server will also help making the scripting more compatible, and the player movement in classic mode is better (better check for blocking tiles), and
the interface will be completely changed probably allowing more stuff in the future.

Waltz5 is an unknown quantity at this point
I still want to know how buying a server will work, like will it just be you pay for a dev server, and then once you get it up to the PW review team's par you stop paying? Or will you have to pay as long as it's up. Or will it be a one time deal? I'm very curious about this, and if it's not the way that I first mentioned with the Dev server, I can't see them selling a lot unless they're relatively cheap. Which I can't see them doing. Sort of like their Gold and Silver memberships (not Graal Gold, the other one on the companies site)

Well maybe Stefan could shed some light on this .

Hm, I still have 293 days on my Gold Subscription, but I will probably upgrade for VIP sometime soon.

I hope it will be worth it.

Ah, ok I am happy now, since I will not lose my guild and I will let the others who were worried that I know (they dont read forums) know that nothing for gold accounts changes. I will also upgrade to VIP though maybe in a few days. This is a good idea since the players can give opinions on the new thigns before theyre released

Um, if the full year Gold account is only $39 and then you add on the $19 VIP account, you're only spending $58 a year. Its when you go for the shorter periods like 6 month and 3 month that it will cost you more Your best bet is the full year. Even though its a lump sum, if spread over the course of 12 months, its cheaper than the 6 month or 3 month accounts.

If you only want 6 months for 3 months access, be ready to put out more money.

Full year by using two 6 month accounts: $56
Full year by using four 3 month accounts: $76

Add the $19 to either one and see what you get. The four 3 months is the most expensive in terms of actual cash value ($95). So which is better? $58 for the 12 month gold plus VIP, or $95 for four 4 months plays VIP? The savings are passed onto you for getting that full year gold subscription. I'm only interested in the VIP, myself. I like 2k1 and 2k2, but like I already said, I've got a playerworld to develop

Yes, my apologies, it was different this morning. In the morning you only had 3 options, and the VIP one was 3 months graal gold and all the elite stuff for 19. It's obviously changed now, so I retract my statement.

I suppose this might work, but I think in the first year of graal 3d things will be somewhat underdeveloped and won't exactly be a big hit, but I look forward to it
