We have inherent worth to our own society and culture, and, possibly, in the future, if we ever invent faster-then-light travel or a way to bend the stars, we may even effect other races and cultures, for better or worse.
Although, in the grand scale of thing, our worth in the universe could be scaled as around 0.0000000000000000000000 etc. etc. 1. While we don't have an impact on something that can destroy the universe or change the very laws of physics, we have an impact on ourselves and our culture, which is good enough for me, personally. I might as well enjoy my pathetic existance as best I can.
And that starts with waffles.
