I think scamming may be too hard to prove to totally outlaw, and if you make it so you can be banned for scamming, then the staff have to investigate every claim (you can't play favorites with which victims you help) to see if there is enough proof to ban or not.
That would chew up countless hours of the staffs' time.
Worst part of the scam outlaw business, I could give someone an event weapon, then later claim I only loaned it to him to be blessed.
You can't log PMs. Only trades.
I do think scamming is rampant and ruining the game. People get scammed - by former friends - who sell stuff for hundreds of USD.
There is no safe trade for EAing or blessing.
Maybe, we could have an in game inter kingdom trading guild, where trademasters of each kingdom (maybe a closed Guild of Trademasters so the kingdom members in that don't need to have a specialized rank, and make it so only the leaders of each kingdom can assign people that that guild).
A trademaster would be players that spend lots of time in bomb trade or are on a lot, and bascially take record of a trade and the terms, even if loaning.
If we can watch who is in the trademaster's guild closely, and disbar people if they are questionable, then we may be able to have the staff authorize that a scam in a 'moderated trade' would be penalizable.
If the idea is done badly, it would be horrilble, but a trade semi-staff, of sorts, that is kingdom based, could be good.
It would only work if new trademasters had to be approved by the other kingdoms, with some veto capacity, so that one kingdom doesn't introduce bad people into the group. |

"Why, of course! It's just a name, like the Death Zone or the Zone of No Return. All the zones have names like that in the Galaxy of Terror."
