For the first day, yeah. Then everyone would go back to UN. Atm it's not worth busting out hard work for the PC servers because there will be no one on to appreciate it. Era and Zodiac are the only ones with a good playercount.

It was mentioned a while ago. The apparent challenge atm is finding a way to make servers like UN etc F2P and then have a lot of P2P content similar to how iClassic is. I think Era and Zodiac are practically ready, all the two servers would really need are additional skin packs that players can buy for weapons using gralats if they really wanna turn a quick profit.

True, but I am sure if EVERY server starts making an iPhone server that iPhone customers will get tired faster of seeing such similar games. They like variety. iGK is almost completely different. Complete different tileset, different gani's and graphics. It's almost impossible to even tell it was developed by the same game. (slight exageration).

Now to desperately find the post's Stefan made so Ducati doesnt think were *gasp* lying *gasp* because she already accused me of lying before about it.

I believe Stefan used the term "Cash Shop" ? Similar to how you use the start menu in the bottom of the window to buy certain items on Era and Zodiac already? Not actual cash but using Gelets, right?

I could only imagine what would happen if Graal PC went F2P and the servers that were currently PC just fueled the acceleration of the playercount and steal potential N-Pulse PC players =/ I mean correct me if im wrong UN used to have NPC's YEARS YEARS ago that allowed trials to play similar to P2P accounts untill they were asked to remove it. That drew alot of attention to them. Players started playing, there server goes up the playerlist so other people get curious.. and the viscous cycle continues.

I look at is more as WHOM is appreciating it? Future Players that don't exist yet. Or the people who put in the hard work to make the content your "re-using". It seems unfair for there hard work to just go un rewarded. the same as it would be for you to develop a pc and have it fail again.

I believe you said it was the Pay to Play that ruined N-Pulse. so if it's eventually going to be free, sooner if more servers follow Zodiac and Era... why not jump on that band wagon?

I completely agree it's bogus that they let FB play with iPhone but not PC.. why not? I mean I understand the PC client is far superior and need's much less optimization but really, FB? common, let the V6 players play too. Then we can have true harmony.

I tried to reply to you with a quote but kept getting incapsula or whatever errors, lol....

Yes, it's similar to how you use the start menu except I think buying items with gelats (gralats, w/e they're called nowadays) will be more in-built than it currently is. For example you'll probably see buttons like "Buy with Gralats!" when you're buying aesthetic NPCs on player rather than having to go to start -> shop everytime.

I heard rumors about such an NPC on UN but I don't think it triggered an increase in playercount. UN already had a large number of players, it also served as a refuge for ex Bravo, G3k, Enigma, etc players who didn't really have anywhere to go after their own servesr were dying or shutting down. UN's appeal was how easy it was to get "into it" as opposed to Classic, where you had to do a ton of quests to be on the same level as other players.

It would seem even more unfair, for the people who did the hard work, to find out their content is just sitting on a dead playerworld as opposed to an active one with a good playercount. I said full P2P ruined all of Graal a long time ago, so I suppose N-Pulse is included.

The only real arguement for not letting PC players on iClassic was the use of a mouse + keyboard and screen resolution. People playing on FB use a keyboard so that arguement is thrown out the window, and the latter (screen resolution) is irrelevant past the iPhone resolution.

I agree about it being unfair for the content to just rot. But I think the main point is that they wouldn't be able to enjoy there work. Some of us don't have iPhones and some of us (like me do but refuse to play using them).

As for the FB version, yeah I kinda think it's stupid FB can play but not V6.. I can't think of why resolution would make much of a difference as when I tent to make PC based content I keep in mind that I dont know the resolution being used and try and be as flexable as possible with it. Such as finding which side of screen to anchor content to to not messup resizing the window. Sometimes I play very small screen sometimes I alt+enter to fullscreen.

Stefan should at least try to revive GK by allowing FB players to play temperarily maybe? That would be an interesting study to observe. I know FB has a much larger audience then apple's iphone.

If it was released on iOS then the content creators would be able to enjoy it through FB Graal.

Some, not all. Thats making 2 assumptions.

1) That they have a Facebook. Most people do, so I'll give you that.

2) That Flash is available on there platform. Sadly I have to use non-free flash codec's. Not sure why they call it "non-free" because its free o.O but what ever. But that's because I use Linux since I couldnt afford to legally buy windows. So unless someone here wants to buy me a full legit windows 7/xp/vista/i dont care.. I can't play FB graal at any tolerable level. I mean every few steps, and I gotta wait 5 min and hope I dont get pk'd just to continue moving its horrible.

Thats under Ubuntu, Gentoo, and Suse. Maybe there are better codec's?? Windows 8 seems to preform even worse. The desktop freezes and wont let me click things for 10's of minutes at a time. And I only have Windows 8 on my other partition because of the flash being so horrible, but it's still laggy/choppy. There has to be a solution to this. I would be insane for working for a server I cant even play at all in any way, shape or form. Other then the v6 client which would just be completely against the entire point of having it iPhone server in the first place..

=/ maybe someone can help me?

Edit: So regarding Ducati stating she is helping the majority of people by making the iphone server. Could someone please fill me in on whose these majority of people are? It would be stupid to count the people who would play it if it were existing. Because who is to say a PC n-pulse couldnt match an iphone..

theres a great saying about the word assume.. and its when you "assume" you make an "ass" out of "u" and "me"..... so exactly which majority? you seem to be pleasing the minority.

if you go to the iserver forums and say who wants n-pulse .. everyone is gonna think n-pulse is a brand new server.. not know anything of its history.. might even go "n-pulse what?"

I think it is fair to say in all of all gamming console and pc that PC is dominating. Have you ever had a game the day of launch not capable of handling the massive amount of players logging on? Blizzard has, not once but twice I believe? Graal is no different. Graal has unlimited potential.. both on iPhone and PC as well as FB.

I remember Ducati saying LOOK AT THE PLAYERCOUNT... well so your adding 3 platforms playercount together and drooling? That would be GraalOnline, Graalonline+, and GB Graal.. well the classic versions.. how is that fair of a comparison?

In the software world, normally free means "free to modify", not "free to use". The Adobe Flash plugin is proprietary/closed-source, and thus not free.

Thanks CBK, I never knew that. Tho it makes absolute sense.

On a side note,

http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...86#post1698886

Really? Not only a PC server but it isn't even hosted or on playerworld tab and its hitting 20 players.. hmm how? Probably good content.. cuz who ever came up with "iphone = more players = more fun" obviously failed to realise iphone servers have better content then well at this point UN is the only competitor besides val.. "good content = more players = more fun" i guess..

Most people create FB accounts just for Graal and most people playing Graal can also play flash games. zzz
