Also, a Chaotic fortune box would be awesome. Costs around 50 EC and has a 50% chance of getting nothing. But godly items can be in there. So it's like a Risk-box.

Just some ideas. Could make a long list.

For 50% chance I would risk that all the time. If the Item is truely godly then I wouldn't mind wasting 100/150EC on that.

I wouldn't really want to handle the drama of a "ultimate risk box" i can see it happening, people having no control over their addiction to spam buy them till they have nothing.

There is already a spot for this in the private forum for event masters. When i was EM we had to use it. I would post what i did once every three days to a week. wasn't a problem at all for me. You just have to keep track of what you host and who gets it... but for some reason they stopped using it in 2008.

a system to award players by EM's can be simply logged and monitored. Can also give out "EM EC's" to EM's that convert to EC's when given to players w/ a command.

I believe this would be a good idea if there was a large amount of EC's out there, it would be a way for people to dump EC's and probably get nothing in return a majority of the time. I'm doubting the percentages would be 50/50 if this was ever added, but I guess having the ability to gamble your EC's wouldn't be a bad idea.

But, before we add some thing like this I think that the EC shop needs to be updated with more modern items, namely a entire set of equipment would be great. To give new players some thing to strive for as far as collecting EC's goes, I think you would need to add sets for sorcerer/warrior types. When I say set, I mean rings/helmet/boots/belt/weapon/shield/mask/bracers/gloves/armor/necklace. Even re-releasing dead items, or items that are in low supply would be a great idea.

I understand there are worries about balance issues, but I would rather have more consistent players then balance right now.

Hopefully IF the ec shop ever does get shuffled, we'll see these on trade tables. Imagine the value of 'God's Fortune Box'?

In my head, I imagine it to be a box, you drop it to the floor (in a safe place, such as your house) and a cloud of smoke appears. An item will be on the ground under that.

VERY much should be a tradeable item, unless it'd be easier to script a type of box/vending machine.. that you insert EC's and get a rare item.

Why not just have it as a consumable item? Double click to open and consume it, and a random prize appears in your inventory. If anything fancy should happen, some fireworks or other effects go off around the player who used it. Different effects for the different boxes. And anyone who uses the most expensive box and especially the God's box would send a server wide message along with effects revealing what they found.

Consumable random get box would be great. The EC shop is still pretty much the vanilla version from when I stopped playing years ago. Spice it up and make things interesting!

Yea, that's basically what everyone wants. Even if it's not these new fortune boxes. I mean seriously i haven't seen anything new, infact items have been getting removed from the shop, for like 3-4 years now? Since gale. That's ridiculous.

I like the idea. Despite not having a single EC to my name I do indeed like it. A step in the right direction.

Just also keep the current EC shop so there are some things you can aim for.
