Sanstrata: Review

ROFLMAO! I heard a rumor Sans was being remade, so I talked w/ some ex-staff friends of mine. I found out Donald was behind it, and PM'ed him. He already had an NPC Admin (which he said was quite good, and I didn't believe it =P) So I was like whatever, and I told him I'd script, because Sans was my first Staff job, and it r0xored I assume I"ll be receiving IM's shortly asking me to make stuff. I GUARANTEE I won't be seeing anything less than 7 at the minimum on my NPC"s =P

*sigh* All these revivals of old playerworlds. From what I saw of Sanstrata, I think it should just stay down. Not to offend those who loved the server but... If in it's time when it had so many problems... What in the flying **** would stop it from happening it again to that server? For the sake in all that was ever good in Sanstrata, let it rest. I honestly think that if it is revived, it'll have even worse management. Not that I care too much... But I'm sure others might.

I will be pre-reviewing Sanstrata before is gets sent in again for review by an actual reviewer.

There is an AIM session with Don I have that is 5 printed pages long of stuff to fix ... and that's on what was submited for review at the start of this post. trust me, when it goes for review again, it will be ready. I'll make sure of that.

Having started the whole Sanstrata idea with Sabin about two and a half years ago, i have been around, and know what a server needs to get online - not just tooting my own horn here, just that i believe it to be true. I even taught Jinx some stuff, he was cool and we learned from each other while running Sans online, you can ask him.

It will be worthy of the name UltraSanstrata.

But that goes only as far as levels, npcs, the quests and stories behind them.

If the staff fights and quarrels, and people hack,
that is somethign I would have no control over.
As much as anyone tries to change others,
ONLY YOU CAN CHOOSE WHAT YOU DO.

This time I trust that the playerworld will be
coherent and impreved enough to get people's minds
invovled in the game, not just wandering around and
complaining theres nothin to do.

All I know is, Prozac, is that when Sanstrata was up, I did meet some of the nicest staff members when I made visits from Mithica. It was a nice community to say the least, but sadly enough, some of the people couldn't keep it together, and things were...unstable. I know that people miss their "homelands" but somethings may better be left in the dust. I, myself miss Mithica, lots. Even though it has had it's ups and downs, it's my home. But perhaps, even Mithica in itself is better left in history as Sanstrata is. If Sanstrata came back, who is to say that it will have the same feel as it once did?

It's can only be as good as it's community, and the efforts of it's staff. As is such with any world in Graal.

That's right; as with most things,
what you get ouf of a playerworld
has a lot to do with what you put into it.
Garbage in, garbage out,
good stuff in, good stuff out!
