u see them close together in games mostly ..
but if u go to space u dont c them that close together as a game ..
they are still in a vanishing point yes but they still are very small when far away.. and could be 10,000 times ur size when ur next to it ..

i modified it a little so it did that...but kai says it isn't realistic, since it only uses the "Z" variable, which isn't the actual distance...

This is cool stuff, i like the 3-d.
but i have already made a space kind of thing for Sanstrata,
it is there and being revised, has planets, can buy a space ship,
can shoot asteroids, fuel limit, land on planets.
but this 3D stuff kicks arse!
I just might have to modify the first veriosn of this code enough
to work in the 2-D space levels i got. full credit will be given to kamiestu. since its on this public board it must be ok for anyone to use it. cool.

Kaimetsu, For a brilliant mind, it is quite foolish to post your script. OF Course newbie pw owners will steal and use and plater there name all over it. that is not uncommon. that is why i NEVER give out my scripts/idea/ect becasue it is stolen. Too bad people just think they can take other peoples work and use it on thier server sintead of striving to make there own.

A key flaw int he mind of the average player is if they cant make it, they wont help them selvs.. They will get SOMEONE ELSE to do it FOR THEM, thus never learning and becoming dependent ont he help of others. if people would stay in thier range of skill, we wouldnt have this problem. And maybe then we wouldnt have so many "playerworlds" *cough* 40 grasslevels and an NPC system *cough* and more quality work. =(

Sanstrata is not dead, it is just not completed.
we are working on new stuff for it all the time,
and a truly good palyerworld is never done,
there is always something new. Plus, i have devoted
hundreds of hours to Sanstrata since July 2000,
i am not going to give up on it.
Also, i emailed Kametsu, and he told me i could not use
his script, I understand and respect that.
But form looking at it, it is a good way to learn some
neat math stuff. I will not copy him, no need to worry about that.
I posted a wild horse you could catch on these forums over six months ago, now i see a modified verion on G2k1.
so i know what it feels like to have someone take your idea
without asking.
I asked, he said no, and thats cool with me.
see, i'm a nice guy!

for the record, the horse running npc was made long, and i mean many months, before sanstrata was online. they did not steal my script, they used the IDEA of my script. They did not take it form sanstrata, I posted it on the board here for all to use. that was on the old verion of these forums when thym was on all the time.
