And my grades aren't even that bad. I know I have three B's, two A's, and two unknowns, but I'm going to get hell for that anyway. The term "ludicrously high expectations" comes to mind.

It sounds like an 80's sitcom series. But it could go the other way too. My parents have never cared what kind of grades I get. They've always been good, so I don't get flack, but I don't get praised or rewarded either.

A bad 80's sitcom. My last report card, I got straight A's, and they still grounded me because two teachers said I was missing some homework.

My mom's a teacher. I think that's where it stems from. Of course, my dad got crap grades, and he's just as bad about it.

Maybe he doesn't really care, and just wants to please your mother. I know my dad can get like that.. *sigh*
