Best weapons for making profits

I want to know your opinions... what do you think the best weapon is for making a profit? Mine is (so far.. i'm only lvl 5/6) a diamond sword of bile +1... coupled with my attributes, i can kill (usually) anything with one stab... usually i use this on bomys, take their skins, and sell for profit

what about you... and PLZ think of something other than "Killing someone with my morning star of govannon +10 (example...)"... think of OTHER ways your weapon can make profit...

and i find that i prefer the DSoB+1 to a morning star... just cause it took several hits to kill a battle potato with a MS, but one stab with my DSoB+1

easiest way to make profits as a newb=taking a gov weapon and killing rexs, then sell the diamonds that they sometimes drop

Get a Govannon +6 weapon, they're pretty cheap/easy to get and since nothing is immune it will always take full damage. Bile is good if you get higher leveled than your opponent because the death attack will kill them instantly if the level difference is high enough.

Thing about weaponmagic is that even though things can't resist it... things can't be weak against it...

But you can always get another attacktype if they do have a weakness.

The only ways I see for weapons to make profit is - apart from selling them - to kill monsters and sell their droppings or what you can craft from them. Another possibility would be spar tourneys, where the loser pays the winner a fee, or whatever, but that would require fair-play or, alas, roleplaying. Making a living from the droppings of bmode-newbies isn't really a way, at least none I concider worth speaking of.

+1 to +6 doesnt cost that much, maybe 500g or so...

i'm thinking about creating another DS to use prep weapon on... but i've been thinking... i need a wep that can do more initial damage... but is a sword and not a morning star... any ideas?

Get a Diamond Force or Inferno Sword, i guess.

I don't think there's much difference between a weapon that does +9 dam and one with +10 - ince you prep and improve it, I don't see a reason to try and buy one of these rather expensive weapons if I can have a vicious axe or a naginata - I'd even go with a black dagger if I had enough diamonds spare

ok... I've decided that my Ebony bow is good. I'll be preppin that... it does 15 initial damage, high RoF (rate of fire, not ring of fighting) and is blessed +1 (so far...)

I doubt it - +6 is hard to get up to, and you'll need more than 3 dias and/or 900 plats.

Actually, as long as you have say an hour or two and a weapon of bile+2 and can clear out the room in western HH...then +6 isnt hard to get to.

I can take it up to +4 for you for free (I do blessings for free, except i don't bless vicious axes, for almost anyone

) and then all you need to do is give two brutals to Zoe or someone similar and, if she's in a willing mood, she'll probably do it. She did mine...although i think she's getting a bit tired of spending all her days blessing for people

My plan personally is taking place right now. I'm going to prep a weapon with improve power scrolls, switch gods a lot to lower my wisdom level, then re-level using the improved weapon to get lots of grace. When i have lots of grace, i'll hop over to aengus and get his bow, prep that up with IWDs and jazz, and SHABAM!

And then you'll screw up, accedently type '/drop all' or something, and it will be gone :P. ALso remember, it doesn't have GFX yet, so no amount of IWDing it before then will help. Also on CF it can't be prepped, but I don't know about here.

Anyway, maybe Ogma and Giv +4 are easy. Bile +4 requires a wisdom level of 28, +5 36 and so on. I wouldn't exactly call that easy to reach...

And you mean that the damned thing doesnt even have gfx, meaning i can't use it? Ugh, screw that. If its what it takes, i'll make the graphics for the bow myself and force the staffers to use it through the use of jelly-loaded catapults >=)

And, oh well, even if it doesnt work, i'll still have superduper high grace so i can go to any god and nab his relics and spells..(of course i'll be stuck on that god but so what). I'll be like...the human that all the gods want =O

Yes, i will bless your bow to +4 for free

To get it up to +6 you'd need to give someone else some kind of payment...brutals usually work. But having it up to +6 isnt really that necessary if all you want to use the bow for is prodding buttock of dinosaurs

Goto the Gov altar, usually god willing there will be someone nice enough to bless your weapon to +2 or 3, just keep doing this (ask someone to bless your + 3 to +4, they usually don't mind, +4 to +5 etc.)

This is the newbie way to get your stuff blessed, though it takes a long time its cheap.

My cousin did it, and got a Comp Bow Gov + 7 (zoe..) and sold it for like 5k (heh..)

Just don't abuse it alright, otherwise they will stop doing it.

Greed is never good.

Its not nice to abuse someones kindness.
