Bad example. If you actually knew what has been happening at G2k, you would know why the playercount is so low at this time. For one, SUNDAY...it was pretty densely populated on Saturday...Next, the manager quit and a new one was appointed. This has affected the playercount because a lot of people think that the server is going to be closed.

Debug: Well it would help with communication to Stefan/Unix, if they want to give it us then they can, doubt they would.

RC: I dont know, but it helps with talking to staff all at once instead of having to do all PMs. Also people may not see your PM.

2002: Wasnt this a present? I dont want the present anymore Its just a flashback server?

In between Bravo and Gaia, be proud lads

Just kidding. Gaia's a great place, I'm sure.

And isn't Tyhm manager of G2K?

Right...Nothing personal but I'm starting to see perhaps a Donald Shimoda clone here. Seriously, when those that leave, particulalry oldbies, they don't intend on coming back mostly because they have to pay for the good things they want.

I'll tell you what I told Donald. Most, if not all of them, are just telling you that. Many probably don't care and want to distance themselves from Graal. You're most likely being lead on to believe they are being sincere. Yes, some may be, but its more realistic to understand that they left for a reason and don't want to come back. Heck, I've shown off an earlier screenshot of my playerworld on the Penny-Arcade forums before. At least one person picked up that it was Graal. They played (Graal) before and was quite interested, but I have yet to see them actually "come back".

This can be true for some people, but sometimes the addiction is too much to handle, and you just can't help but come back.

#1. why wouldn't you want to go to group 1? the only difference is that trial accounts can play your server (unless you don't want trials on your server... which i could understand)
#2. i think group 1 is only Three servers, and group 2 is the one with four...

Unixmad, I've been requested by my staff to ask you what will be done in regards to staff being able to work on servers. None of us play graal. We just enjoy developing stuff. I'm the only one who currently keeps his account upgraded. (even though I dont play) Is there some way you can make it so my staff can access my staff to work. Kind of like how the old RC's worked but to keep it from being abused maybe make a limit of 3 RC's that could access a server with out being upgraded. This would allow my staff to continue working and feel they are given some form of incentive to do there job. They've also stated that they won't be upgrading just so they can work on a server. Which is why I was hoping you might consider the possibility of 3 Server access only otherwise I'm going to be up a creek with out a paddle and I cant have a server with no staff.

Hopefully we will see some of the less good playerworlds start paying this will help cover the costs related in operating graal and hopefully encourage playerworlds to improve Content, management, and ethics.

Yeah,

there are surely a handful of playerworlds right now that are falling behind in Content & Management. It's really sad that the PW's which names i'm not mentioning but they know who they are lack the requirements of a productive & fun playerworld.

I think if your staff don't want to pay $19/year (VIP) to be member of a community and have fun creating Online game, then ask them what other hobby they can do for this price, i will be interested to known... Probably not a lot ...

Not to put you off, but there a lot of things to do that don't cost money.
Besides, with the VIP account, they could only access the server on Saturdays, which limits them to about 52 days a year, and I can guaruntee you that they can't get on every one of those days.. Come to think of it, $26 Canadian, to play a game for 52 days tops is kind of expensive...

I think it is to the players who pay for Graal to decide what they want to see.

That's why i am thinking to implement a "sponsoring system" where each Gold/Vip Player will decide wish Player World they want to support (Vip can support 1 Player World, Gold can support 2, Gold&Vip 3)

If a Player World has at least 20 supporters (including staff), he will have free hosting for the next 6 months.

There will be a special forum to present its Player World.

That certainly sounds spiffy.
It'll certainly get the community more involved with the running of the game.

I am still interested to known what hobby you can do for $19/year .

The VIP can indeed only reach gold servers Week-end but have a complete access on Classic and will have a complete access on all Player Worlds

Well, I'm not going to get into that because it'd take a while, and because we probably have different definitions of hobby.

Lastly, I didn't know that. I guess getting VIP for a year isn't that bad of a deal after all.

It certainly has gotten better compared to when I signed up. $56 would be nice, instead of what I paid.

I cant thing of any. $19! Thats dirt cheap. Its not just a game, its a game that updates all of the time, with new people, staff, and content, its very much worth the cheap price you have set.

It was a trick question. If you answered it any other way you would get banned .

$99 dollars, while being a good price, lacks convenience for one reason:
You have to pay it all at once. But whatever works.

Also the VIP+gold thing isn't a terrible idea for servers, but perhaps keep ghost mode for the playerworlds players can't access? It would let them see what's up with the mid-to-gold playerworlds and decide if they want to upgrade.

I can do alot at no cost. Not getting into real life stuff and just stuff online. I can design websites make mods for games. I can make levels for other online games my friends can code with me on other games. We prefer to stay with graal because its the First mmorpg we played. Which is why I keep my account upgraded even though I dont play. How ever my friends dont share my sentiment to where they wish to keep upgrading their accounts. They've upgraded in the past and they dont want to upgrade for something they wont be playing.
But thats fine you've made it clear how you feel in regards to people working hard to improve the quality of Your game we will be moving on to other things in which people wont be charging us to develop stuff for a server we have to buy then forcing us to pay money to access the server that we paid for in the first place.
For these reasons I won't be purchasing a server or continuing to upgrade my account. Once its expired I'll be saying goodbye to graal.

Obviously if you had half a brain you would realise I just came to this conclusion. I dont play graal but I do enjoy posting with some of the community here which I will continue to do until my account expires. As for the other things I like to do, I usually prefer to wait until an hour or two into my day before I start on various projects that I find interesting. Of course with your intellect and my post not concerning you I'm sure you realized this.

I think Gold accounts should be able to own a server to
Even if you have to charge them more. I was plaining on buying a server for my self and me and my Graal friend could work on it, but I dont think it could happen because I dont have VIP =(

Correct me if I am wrong, but, are some of you saying that we not online have to pay to get classic servers access, but also pay to make things for the game? Heck, the players created Graal, and they are the only people keeping it running. If you ask me, paying to play, thats fine, but all the staff paying to make things? Thats just wacked.

Fool! I only see 2 servers online which has improved Graal.

The reason this is being added is because Unixmad has been paying for playerworlds which do NOT add to the quality, rather drain from it. With this system, most of the crappy PWs will be eliminated, or turned into greater PWs, and new, superior ones will come into existance.

Now, the only thing I think should be added is making money. Not sure how that would work, maybe depending on the number of users, a group 1 PW can choose to "Go Gold". So if it has say, 200 players (which is very possible, and in my opinion to many) then the owner can ask to go gold. When they go gold, a small percentage of the gold account upgrades go to the owner. Of course, Graal would make more money then the owner because of the fact the owner brought so many players, a small percentage would become insignificant.

Maybe I do not understand this currency thing. But isnt a US Dollar the same value for everyone around the world at the same time? Okay lets take HongKong, $19USD is about... $250HKD? I think, but its still $19USD, it may sound more in differnt currencies, but its the same price?
