Log in with your account, and on the server list window, click on "Pay by whatever", I believe.

I had that problem when I was upgrading my friend's account for his birthday. We figured it out eventually (I don't remember how, though) .. just had to go looking around the site for a bit. It's there, somewhere. I think you need to log in under the account name, first...

At the bottom it will have 2 tabs "Pay by Phone" and 'Pay by Credit Card" you start the process there.

You can also do it by logging on the Graal main page with your account name and password to start the process.

Two small comments, one sarcastic, one just mean. Try to guess which one's which! I'll even number them, for handy reference.

1) Wow, that's very thoughtful of you to direct it right at the person who helped you!

2) You don't know how to upgrade an account...but you co-manage a server?

You can be good at math but not script. Besides, where does his job require that he upgrade accounts?

I believe it was a blanket "Thank You" because more than one replied to it.
Your sarcasm is not needed and adds nothing to this thread other than making yourself look immature and self-serving.
As for managing a server has nothing to do with upgrading accounts. Why would it? We have nothing to do with that.

Someone who manages a server should have a basic knowledge of graal. You can't disagree with that, people. Thanks.

Also, the phrase "whoever helped me" grammatically lacks direction. So you can argue intents until eternity, but that will change nothing about the post itself.

As for being immature, I am more mature than most people on these forums. As for being self-serving, I don't see how I benefitted from making that post. That being the case, I will have to disagree with that point as well.

If, however, you had said that I was a cynical person, I would have to agree with that 100%.

Oh, and one addendum, your critique of my post added nothing else to the thread either.

So, have a nice day, and enjoy being a hypocrite.

I can and I do. Upgrading accounts has as much to do with managing a server as a desert does with fishing.

I don't see how it grammatically lacks anything. He didn't spell anything wrong, and he didn't use faulty sentence/word structure. You, on the other hand, are using a word that is incoherent with what you are actually trying to say.

You are saying that people who manage servers should NOT have a basic knowledge of graal? Well that speaks loads about both you and your ability to reason

"whoever helped me" STILL lacks direction on its own. And I used every single word properly in that sentence that you refer to in my post. So, yet again, you're wrong.

Sorry, buddy. You lose.

Did you intend to accomplish something by contradicting yourself? What is an Oasis? But water in the desert, and was Egypt part of the ocean at one time, and don't people fish in the Sahara? The answer to all of these is; YES.

So according to you, Upgrading an account has as much to do with managing a server as living does to a human, it's a necessity, thank you for proving Tseng's point.

its just something a manager should know... like is tseng didnt know how to attack, it has nothing to do with his job, but he should know how if he is a staff.

Kae: I completely agree, but I would like to add one thing.

Like I said before, it's not so much about the knowledge of upgrading itself (Sorry VampiricTutor, here's where your inability to grasp information presented in a written format comes back to bite you), it's about the basic knowledge of Graal itself.

Farin: That's right. Wouldn't YOU laugh if a developer didn't know how to swing a sword? I think most of you would. However, not swinging a sword in and of itself is not directly related to making new NPCs. So would that excuse it? I think that if I played graal for as long as I have, and didn't know how to swing a sword, that would indeed be pretty pitiful.

Similarly, I find it rather humorous that a co-manager would not see those nice little buttons (and, if he played graal, he/she would see those two little buttons EVERY time he/she connected!) for upgrading an account.

Ofcourse, however, based on his/her post, it seemed as though it was a necessity to being manager.

No, people don't fish in the desert. What the hell are they going to make a pole with?

What part of server management requires knowledge of the Graal2001 account system? Please, somebody tell me.

As for Saito, what are you talking about? If you examine his sentence you will realize he is directing his thanks by using "whoever" instead of thanking each individual, which would be less efficient.

Um, ever heard of the Nile River, yeah, fish, baracuda, crocs/alligators, yaknow.......
You can make a pole out of a tree, and trust me, there's plenty in the Nile River Valley.

So, you contradicted yourself, and with people HAVING to fish to survive, it seemed as though you meant they had to know how to upgrade an account to be manager. =/

What the hell? IJAISJDOASDFS. I said it has as much as the desert has to do with fishing. Not anything to do with people needing fish to survive. And this doesn't prove and more relavance to subscribing for a p2p and managing a server.

Wow, isn't that convenient; I can use the SAME response twice in a row, and it is even MORE obvious that I'm right the second time around! I underlined it so you could see it more easily, because it seems to me like you have trouble reading.

As for the 'whoever' line, consider this: If two people that lived in the same house both gave me five dollars, and I knew who both of them were, and I wanted to thank them, would it be very polite to send one letter to their house saying "Thank you, whoever gave me the five dollars!" Of course not, that's rude.

The upgrading system has changed, people. Anyway, shut up and stop flaming Neg for not knowing how to do something. God.

And for the love of Christ, why are you people debating about my anolagy? Why don't you look at what I am trying to say instead of trying to find flaws in it that don't really matter.

Actually; to support the arguments of Tseng and Kae (Not that they need it…) I do believe that it should be common knowledge for a manager, or a co-manager to know the basic aspects of Graal; such as upgrading an account. True, upgrading an account has little to do with a server’s development, but Graal in a whole is the manager’s work environment.

Example: A manager of a department store does not walk into his store and not know where the electronics department is; similarly, the common knowledge of not knowing how to upgrade an account should not be oblivious to a server manager. Like the store manager knows his store like the back of his hand; the server manager is assumed to know at least the common things about Graal; especially the things that stand out as plain as day!

True, it has little to do with the development of the server as I have said before; but would this not be the common knowledge of anyone who opens the Graal client and logs on to play Graal/work on their respective server on a regular basis? I would certainly hope so.

I don’t want to beat a dead horse any longer, and it is not that much of a big deal to begin with. Also; if you haven’t tried looking, The Graal Store has an option for upgrading accounts via PayPal. You can find that
here.

Very well put. I was having some difficulty thinking of a proper analogy myself (Headaches are bad, and I've had one for the past couple days ).

Cynicism is on a distinguished road
No, it isn't bad, nor is the person foolish for missing that tidbit of information. But it is strange that some people cannot find the means to upgrade, or create a new account when the options are available to everyone in the most obvious places. From that, we expect that people would know how to upgrade, or create an account if need be. Or in the case that you presented, Kaimetsu, they would at least be able to find the information easily with little need of aid.

I think I will have to agree with Kai here, nothing wrong with not knowing something but the Forums are not the best avenue for info unless you want to have happen here exactly what has occurred.Depending of course on what you are asking, this by no means applies to everything. There are things I don't know about Graal but because of the fact of who I am , I won't ask these things in an open Forum. Managers of PWs like Graal Admins for some strange reason we are expected to know everything, and this is simply not the case. We are like everyone else , some things we know and some we don't.
