Providence Released!!!

We are planning on releasing Providence this Saturday. I'll add on the exact time when I get it but no earlier than 10am est.

With the new release there will be four kingdoms (names released with overworld) You can try and join any of the four or rp as a character with no affiliation. We have a multitude of unique jobs such as fishing as it has never been seen before on graal.
To keep RPing interesting we have many RP's preplanned that dont always involve other kingdoms or some any kingdoms at all. That way we'll be moving beyond attack kingdom kingdom attacks back. We've purposly made the towns fairly primitive to start of to help encourage RPing fortifying etc... Kingdoms will have to defended there lands from monsters bandits and what not.
We will also be releasing such things as battering rams etc.. Later on in the RP where a kingdom can make one and use it to bash in a gate. Although these will have to be precoordinated with staff and not just handed out to help insure it isnt abused. Long story short come check us out and stay a while this saturday. We've been working round the clock to get everything ready for your enjoyment. Also there will be mini quests of sorts rather than the previous way of kill monsters get enough jp go get item so there is more to do than kill baddies and RP. But these Miniquests arnt your every day quests since they're made with RP in mind. I might release a screen shot or two of a couple new things later on today when I get home. Just wait and seee. oh yes keep these two words in mind and you'll learn more about them later. "Rune Stones" (name subject to change)

If you come up with ideas please tell us we want to hear what you think would improve it as well. We rebuilt everything from scratch keeping in mind things we always felt needed improved but never got done.
Example: Nothing to do
Solution: A Multitude of RP's preplanned after the release. That can involve numerous kingdoms, A single kingdom or no kingdom at all.

Boats were fun, but I preferred the Cleric NPC which made you go super fast

Boats are broken at the moment. But we will do our best to have ready saturday. Might end up asking stefan for his version of the script if we get down to the wire. We have cannons added onto the current boats that fire etc.. I think adding that broke the script. Not completely sure it was broke before I became Co-Manager.

We've combined all classes to Thief Warrior and Mage. We felt rather than have 6 different classes with like 1 npc and as before some with no NPC's it would be more enjoyable for people to have a multitude of NPC's

Odd your gani is messed up. Or is that just a fluke? Also just so people know thats a test level so that isnt the actual fish graphics and the released level has more fish and stuff. Thats just an example of what we have we wanted did our best to make everything unique in some way.

Graphics and such are added such as plants and different fish. Level is slightly different but not a whole lot been so busy fixing other things it was low on the list. But I suppose I could look into improving th quality of the over tiling. Cant be chanted to much seeing as how its a cut away view of the land.

Well, a few extra tiles could easily be made to fix that

Even underground tiles if you really wanted too, im not sure how many graphic's artist you have though so doing that might actually be a little harder...

I miss the old Providence...I was a Cleric too. I loved the Orbing NPC, but it shouldn't have taken as much magic. I also liked the healing Magic.

Might readd dragon as a very high level mage spell but it would take magic. All spells take magic now its only fair to other classes other wise every one would get owned with freeze spell and fire shield o.o

If you have any ideas for warrior npc's please post them those its' the hardest class to come up with stuff for me.

Warrior.. hmm, im not sure all the other classes weapons are so I don't know how to make it fair..

but you could have warrior have, axe, two handed axe, staff, two swords 1 for each hand.. um...

I dont want to give away all the npc's The major plus at the moment is Warriors have strong armor and Sword power. Thieves are basically screwed if they pick a fight with a warrior or wizard unless they can avoid the magic and swords. But then again a thief isnt supposed to be a fighter. They have other special skills.

Maybe some kind of weapon they throw or like a boomerang

Ok Ive been banned for some time now on Providence and i cant seem to get unbanned so can somebody unban me I didnt even do anything to get banned somebody stole my password and was being an ass and messed stuff up on there and got my account banned

Hehe I remeber Providence..
It was my Favorite Server to play. Actually Providence was my inspiration to even start making my own pw..
I had two aliases on Providence
Wryoko - I started a Band of Thieves () And our Hideout was on this one island where there was like no way off of it and the only way to get on was through a boat.. We'd have to deffend the harbour all day x-x.
After a few weeks it died out so I joined Dragoon.. Geez I loved it

I remeber walking up to the fountain, sitting down and while people would gossip i'd put on my Dragoon helmet and Everyone would be like " Wow are you really a dragoon? " And I'd find a way to get pissed off (XD) and then change into a dragon and chase everyone off

God I miss those days..

- Btw What ever happened to the whole Fairy deal.. or something it was like a Small White,floating creature thing o.o
Oh well.. I'm just glad Provi is finally coming up agian..
half my time on provi the the other half on Rhune.. hmm

Sorry for the dbl post but I have an idea you should consider..

Why not Bring the new overworld up tommorow ... For Early Testing. Like only allow certain people to come on and search out any bugs (Tile errors.. Script Mishaps.. Etc) And ways to make them better..

Oh well I reallly want to play =(

I never knew though. They took them off the server once I found out about them, or at least that's what I think. I never knew what they were or what they did

Server is already online has been for a while. I have almost all the tile errors fixed and scripting bugs. We plan on spending tommorrow testing it our selves to see how it all plays out.

As for Wisps not to sure. None of the scripts where saved we've had to remake all the scripts and many of the levels. We might bring wisps back if we can get graphics and stuff but that will be later if we do. Just dont kill us if there are bugs opening day. Even with all our testing I"m sure there will be kinks.

//addon Also we dont have any sort of status bar up except for numerical form. We considered taking the time to script it. But that would have ment delaying the release even longer for eye candy which could wait and be released later.

All accounts have to be reset. Many old accounts are still multiclassed. Others have high level armor etc.. As for Cleric if we do rerelease it. It wont be available opening day. If you can come up with enough skills we might bring it back but we felt it would be best to include it in the wizard skills etc... it doesnt mean you cant RP being a Cleric. It just gives you a wider selection of NPC's to RP with. I dont know I'll talk to me later on AIM and I'll see if its worth bringing back. But either way it will be after release since I dont want to keep pushing the date back. x.x
