Staff Doubles Spar Tourney

At precisely 9:00pm GMT on the night of June 29th, a Saturday,
there is to be a colossal battle among the staff of Graal Online,
and its various playerworlds! Each participant, representing
his or her own individual world, will be pit against the other
eager warriors of Graal Online, in a magnificent spar tourney
that will show the populous just who are among the best.
We invite the staff of every playerworld, to come and join us in
this tourney. We apologize to all the players that may be
interested in joining, however, this is strictly staff only. However,
a selected amount of players will be allowed to watch. These
players will be reporters and they will win the right ot watch
through winning a big GC Event. Now, this being a spar
tourney, it only makes sense that it is held on the playerworld
with the largest population of fighters, Unholy Nation!

To keep the event fun and fair for all, we have devised a set of
rules that must be followed in order to participate:

• All applicants must send in the required information by
  10:00pm GMT on the night of Friday, June 28th.
• The spars will be doubled; therefore there will be teams
  consisting of two people each.
• There can be only 2 people per team.
• Every person wanting to join must currently be staff upon an
  online world.
• You do not have to work in the same department or
  playerworld as your partner.
• The use of any weapon other than your sword is prohibited
  throught the entire tourney.
  

Also, each team must submit the following information to
myself:

• The name of your team. (I.E. The Untouchables,
  Invincible, etc)
• The names of each participant, and where you work.

I
will randomly put the names into a hat, and draw to decide in
what order the teams will be sparring. We are hoping for a
guest appearance from the Coder of Graal himself, Stefan
Knorr. Also, we have a LAT by the name of Moonspell creating
a sparring room for us, much like that of the Ice Spar on Unholy
Nation.

So find a partner and transfer the information to me through any
of the following sources:

Note: This is meant for fun, just to give the hardworking
players a chance to come with their friends, socialize, spar,

we beg of you, just hold your negative comments to yourself.
We are doing this so that the staff of Graal, the ones who help

Sounds like fun, too bad Oasis is a private server, and I'm the only one working on it.

Those are the only 2 on N-Pulse that are good. Well at least they're the only 2 that can fight better than me.

UN is laggy as hell. Take this spar tourney to Rudora where there's not as much lag. The reason for the lag on UN is their day/night system is randomly changing the backpals.
Heck maybe put Mithica back up and upload a place for people to spar in for now. I got a place they can use for a spar tourney.

Ok, first of all. I can beat Sky Blazer. I have before. Second, if this "spar tourney" is on UN? I think it will be too laggy to spar there. Anyways it would be to much trouble. There would be too many players in one spar room making it laggy for other people. Third, this has been tried before and it never happened so, don't bet on this actually working. It would be great if it did. But I don't see it happening with the people UN has. Some of the people there are lil punks. That just want to cause trouble on that server. Everyone else is cool there. If this does happen. I will go and watch everyone be laggy.

Well, Sky isn't that good. There are better sparrers. He has that "rating" from sparring like a while back. He doesn't spar much now. And not everyone can beat him........

sky is not hard to beat at all, he is all talk, last time i sparred him i beat him 6 times in a row, then he claims its lagg

If you wish we will open up Npulse to hold the event and will make a level for it and not connect it to Npulse so only the Sparrers will be warped there and the players cannot get there, and Moon Goddess is a good sparrer and I am sure she would like to as for me my video card heats up too much and I lag really bad and only would embarress myself badly *sigh* anyway if you guys want to use Npulse instead of UN just let us know and we will prepare for it , the reason UN lags so bad is they have way too many NPCs which lag the players =/ anyway I would like to watch since I cannot take part wherever it will be....

ohh I would verify all the sparrers to make sure they are "current" Staff of a PW .......

Instad of going on UN, make some small server called Staff Spar Tourney with just a few rooms and the specified number of fullhearts. Done and done, deleted when its done.

Nice Idea but would take too long to get it up , better yet use that idea for a permanet place for them and leave it up, that only has access by invite only and you can only get on if your account name is listed on that server....

a $1000 server machine just so we can have a spar tourney? heh, good dream.

i will host it on u.n, we have seperate spar room, we will warp all participants to a waiting room where they can practice sparring in a side room (ill have it set up to make it private) then when its there turn, i can warp them in, delete there items (including day night ) and restore them agaion ( just use cut and paste ) after they finished sparring.this will reduce lag etc....... moon god your help would be appreciatted if you areable to get on at that time, shouldnt be a problem about 3 in the afternoon in american time ??? on a saturday.
anyway, thats cleared some things up. anyone wishing to have any more info can contact me through aim artfultodger2k ( this includes playerworld managers who wish to help out )

just put a script in there that stores ur current settings when u enter and gives u full hearts and lv3 shield and what not.. then when u leave it sets ur settings to ur previous settings =O

And what makes you think a server only holds one PW? they either have Hard drives or tape drives and there is plenty of room on one for a place like that ... Graal has more than one server and the PWs are on , what I spoke of can easily be put on am exising server , don't be so stupid as to try to make it like I was saying to buy a new server...

but i think the problem why stefan doesnt put up new servers until old ones go down is that he runs out of bandwidth or whatever.

Yak its more like the cost of the bandwidth , it isn't cost effective to have 25 PWs up with the Player ratio the way it is... when 5 or 6 of them are lucky to have 10 ppl on them ....

this has nothing to do with representing your own server... considering that the staffs dont have to work on the same server, and there are many sparrers from each server. it's just the matter of representing ur uhhh team
