Scamming Help

Most of the time, Police are either to lazy to move or don't respond, and then they say, 'call Police next time'. This might be stupid but I thought of this at 2 AM. If we could put a script to take a graal picture with the date and time in the title, every 3 minutes and then load it to the database. Then every day someone deletes the pictures for new pictures to come in. We put the NPC in the most scamming points. Maybe 3 minutes is too much time, but it can help. Then a police or someone views it. I'm not sure if this is possible, because it's been months since my last script.

It could kinda be done in a way, but it seems futile. Why don't people learn to stop being scammed?

Emm but everytime I've been asked to watch a trade I have went and watched it and I know the other plice do.
There may be one or two times I haven't because I was busy but I hve always directed them to another police member.

Oh and anyway what would a screen shot prove?
That you traded with him?
That he dropped a hat or you dropped money?
It could mean anything that screen shot.
The only way it would work is if the person who scammed you said something about scamming you and laughing.
And with a screen shot every 3 minutes I really doubt the chances of catching that are very high.

Better and easier solution - Make a better trading house that can warp items to different places, where one guy stands in one area, the other guy stands in another area, then they lay the items and they are warped to each other.

Alex, I'm talking about other Police; Anyways, people usually like to make them look like idiots (e.i. HAHA! YOU'VE BEN SCAMED!). Also it could prove that they we're trading. Police act like there being fair, but there not using good judgement. Logs and Pictures show that something happened. I mean, think. There a picture they've done it, and there's PMs. I don't give a damn care if they can be edited, because most people don't try that; also there are ways to tell if something edited, common sense. I mean, common sense is need. If you get a cut, do you bake a apple pie? (Only on Graal would someone do that)

I already thought of that script before you did when I tryed out for Police but what can it do? In 3 minutes it will be gone and they will not know who has been scammed. Because the person picks it up then it takes a snapshot and then 3 minutes later they are out of the place.

You don't seem to realize what I mean't. It's not just to make sure of scamming, it checks the levels. Anyways, it doesn't wait for someone to be there for 3 minutes. I thought 3 minutes to save server space; also it doesn't matter if you thought of that.

Agreed, the whole "I thought of that first!" thing is tiresome. It wouldn't be a screenshot, anyway. It'd be a record of where everything in the level was at the time etc. Screenshots can't be produced from GScript, and they'd certainly gunk up the server.

Someone should try script a tradething like they have on diablo.
Where a window pops up and you put the items you want to trade in there
when both players agree they click the tick and the items are traded.

A Txt file recorded with it all sounds like a good idea. Remember my idea was at 2 AM. Also Alex H., I like that. I hate Graal's "Drop and Grab" Idea. It would work better if it was like Ra*narok's or Diablo's.

Everytime somebody chats record thier text to a log file along with the date and time.

Won't take up nearly as much space as screenshots.

If you are stupid enough to get scammed, it's your own fault. If you know the person is a scammer, then do no business with that person, even if it's your friend. If a police will not help you, tell AlexH, he can do something about it.
