What would be the point? I can see maybe to learn with, but if you don't have access to an online NPC Server, you aren't going to need to learn server-side scripting anyway.

well I'm trying to make a playerhouse, and I saw that the scripts run off of the npc server. So to try it out without uploading first, you would need a duplicate of the G2K1 NPC Server that will run offline...

well that way u wouldnt need access to an online one just to test ur script .. and would eliminate some of the under construction servers that are up cuz they need a npc server

People...like me...want to learn serverside scripting, but can't find a server that will allow us FTP, RC, and NPC-Control. An offline NPC server would cause there to be more scripters methinks.

he doesnt even need to include NPC Server in offline mode
he could just add the p2p commands into the commands.rtf and make it soit doesnt show up as an error when you test it

Id like that added, simply becasue I dont wanna log onto NC every time I wanna test something. I like to perfect it offline (Or atleast as much as posible)

Here's what I wish Stefan would make... and since I usually write confusing, I'll make it in a nice list form

-A server that everyone had FTP access to
-Players could upload levels to, and specify a password for that specific level. Then, people who wanted to view/download/delete that level would have to enter the password.
-Limited RC so players could edit their OWN attributes, nobody elses.
-A two or three hour time limit for levels, after which they are auto-deleted so the FTP doesn't get cluttered with un-used levels.

Hmm... this could also be used to let server staff be able to preview a server prior to it going up.
