Yes, the slow water swimming on Providence has a purpose and that purpose is to make it so boats are in use more.

Not only that the boats are 2x-4x the speed of the 2k1 boats depending.

Dunno if these have been brought up or not about providence, don't feel like reading all the pages, but.. Tyne says that he doesn't liek pausers, and who the heck pauses in RP? that's why no pause

and the swimming problem is easily fixed by holding the opposite direction and CTRL. (if you wanna swim UP hold DOWN and CTRL)

Pausers are stupid. If they're getting killed they will pause and call you a ***got newbie or something stupid, so I've compeltely eliminated that problem by forcing them to fight to the death, or disconnect cowardly!

Damn CTRL bug.

I wish there was a way to get PKers off a server without no pk zone. Sometimes killing is done in RPing, and making it no PK zone would be stupid.

Damn CTRL bug.

For the CTRL bug, couldn't you take the skateboard script, except without the Press A to get off, so you can't attack, it uses the gani, and disables weapons.. =\ Or maybe um find the speed of when you hold control and if (speed = blah) speed = slower or whatever =\ I dunno advanced scripting stuffs

Removing the abbility to pause is stupid, you have to run in hidei n the laggy water if you dont want to die, and you normaly pause while PMing people and stuff like that ....... it does have a use

A few other annoying bugs is when you're afk or something, either in the water or paused, people can steal from you.

And you should make it if you die, and respawn, you can't be hurt for a few seconds.. because it's so annoying when you're level 1, and are like going into orc cave, to get the stuff, if you get hit by the orc, you're stuck in a loop forever

or for a while..

I'd probably have to use disabledefmovement, but I'd rather just wait till Stefan fixes the problem.

Anyways I have an idea to warp the boats back to port every 10 minutes so people don't have to swim as much.

Water isn't laggy. It's made to be slow.

Why don't you make the boats have an automated course? (Like the trains on G2k1) because like the other day I was trying to go to the jova port cuz I was being the captain, and a guy was coming up and PKing me and kept trying to "take over" the boat.. you could make the boat a nonpk zone/disable weapons, and maybe um more seats

2 is small.. Like it goes from Jova to Zardonia, to Elven Sanctuary, and back.

Maybe change the look of the boat to like a cruise instead of pirates, or something? That'd be kewl.

and if you could go in it.. but that'd be a little hard to make it when you go in, you go back out where the ship is instead of a predefined spot :P Long comments me have..

Ok I fixed the steal bug, and I'll get SK to fix the loop-kill bug.
Remember, we had to reprogram the whole attack function for graal
so ofcourse there are going to be bugs.

Oh and Zorg, it's impossible to stop from being killed while paused since triggeraction ignores pause completely.

Cool, thanks Tyne. A few more glitches.. (I've found a lot on this server)

1. Sometimes, say you swim from jova to Zardonia. Sometimes it warps you all over and it's all glitchy and stuff. (This has happened on other servers though.. classic too..) Example: Halfway from Zardonia to Jova, it warps you east of Zardonia, with a block of grass in front of you, if you try to go on the grass/cliff, you "swim" on it, as it's nonexistant.

As I said, it's happened on other servers as well, mainly classic, but not only swimming.

2. If you go to.. say Jova, the words Jova appear on the screen, if you go to another screen where words wouldn't normally pop up, Jova still stays on the screen.

3. Bah, you fixed the spar zone glitch

4. A few buildings you can't go in still yet, an example is the town below the slums, a building in there has no door and you can't go in.

5. Hrm, not a glitch, but you use job points for your class, not your job.

6. If you be a martial artist, and get to.. say.. level 40, you get level 80 attack power, right? Well, switch classes to Cleric. A 80 attack power cleric. odd.

Make it reset to 1 like the armor..

A lot of PKing goes on on the ship because people don't like where someone's driving, or 4 people try to drive it at once. =\ Make the ship nonpk =\ and make it so only one person can drive it at a time.. or something. ;p

2. I forgot to hide the image when the player leaves the level.
