GraalOnline Lottery

I think we should have a GraalOnline Lottery. Each ticket could be worth like 5 gralat. And you gather the the money for a week, each person could buy as many tickets as they want. All the money goes towards to jackpot. At the end of the week, draw the numbers at random and if nobody wins, the jackpot stays and the tickets reset. And it all starts over. The ticket purchases for the next week, the money is added onto the jackpot.

Of course a little more work would need to put put into planning this, but it's a start.

Tell me what you think.

I think it's a great idea. Yeah, more work would have to be put in but it is an overall great idea, neat concept.

Ok. Here's some ideas for it.
  • Player can choose their numbers or do a quick pick (randomly generated numbers)
  • Numbers would range from 1 to 25, 50, or whatever
  • With as many good scriptors we have, someone could make an npc to do the random generator for quick picks.
  • a lottery ticket npcw that people could buy.
  • When they go to buy the ticket, they choose to pick their own numbers or do a quick pick.
  • someone could script a npc to randomly draw the winning lotto numbers each week, but only an assigned person could hold the drawings and only at a certain time, blah blah.
  • We'd have to make the lottery ticket npcw's to coincide with the lottery number npc, and all the technical stuff so it would be fair and all that. to prevent cheating, etc.

But it's still sort of unfair.. like what happens if a really rich person buys like 500 tickets, and only 800 tickets are sold all together.. that person has like a 75 percent change of winning compared to the others.

But it would be nice to strike it rich. *rolls around in her fake cash monees*

And if one of the other 25% win, he loses the money he spent on 500 tickets...:P

good idea which can be easily scripted like have a Lottery Helper guy in the admin house and you can say like "buy ticket" and he says like
"Your account has been recoreded, your number is 8575"

and it can be a random 4 didgit number and the lottery can go on until someone wins drawing every time like us east time at 10:00 for example

lol

I like the idea man.,.

I could try it without the tag helper one day...

I could collect the money all day then write numbers down in a note pad...but you get a number like the first person gets 1, then 2, etc. And I shuffle all the numbers up. And I could pick ouuta a hat or do something more fair such as someone could pick a number like 1- ? and I go through the numbers which are now shuffled and they win the jackpot. Maybe an addition could be its like a 90/10 raffle where the et gets 10 % of the jackpot for some events...

that would also be exploitable for scammers, i mean, they could gather the money for the jackpot, but kind of keep the jackpot

Too complicated. Easier for an RC holder to run ID-O-Matic (as those who are on with Lycia in the evenings should know, random selection of a user based on their ID number in RC). Sure, those can be rigged, but it's a fun event and someone gets a prize.

Nah, this'd be easy. The player's ticket number would be stored in non-client strings so that they couldn't possibly edit them and stuff.

Would it be such a crime if Stefan actually used an idea on G2K1 that was actually submitted for G2K1?

Only if he gives credit to the creator of it instead of claiming it as his own invention.

Uhm, ok?

I don't see how me wanting to make a lottery system for GraalOnline makes me power hungry. So please leave your immature comments out of this mature conversation. If you think I'm a newbie, then you can keep on thinking wrong. Bye now.
