About christmas...

Could someone explain why you didn't basically redo last year's christmas event with new craftable items? You had the graphics for it obviously... Surely that would have brought in more players than the whole 2 freebies and a grind for most tokens thing you got going.

Some constructive criticism for next event:

1. Come up with item stats based on actual viable builds (you know, so people will actually use the items you release) and try to give unviable builds some love... lookin at you caster and archer builds...

2. If you're going to rely on raffles to spread the big loot you should give a few days notice at least.

3. Don't waste perfectly fine graphics on statless or completely useless items. Both swords released were physical attack only. Just one elemental attack on them and they'd be perfectly viable item choices in a build. Thunder sword and ice flame sword used to be free remember?

They won't be usable, unfortunately.

They wanted to remove the boxes to prevent so many items filling up the server. A lot of items have been released since Christmas 2011.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there 3 anvils in the xmas shop? One was for boxes, the other two were for introducing completely new items no?

Had they just taken away the boxes (which should have been toned down for easter already but nobody listened back then. same goes for halloween) and put the new free items in the xmas shop instead they'd have a perfectly fine holiday event.

Free+bad stats = not fun
Tokens+neat stats = fun

You released boxes -EVERY- SINGLE holiday since boxes were released in 2011! take Easter 2010 for example, a new idea, new way to get exp, a new working map system, and - wait for it - a motivated token system that didn't involve Mystery Boxes!

The gift shop just makes me laugh at how little care there is for the server by the people working on the holiday events. You can't brainstorm some stats for a new build on a cheap item that wouldn't **** the economy? (rabbit feet, ivy bow, easter belt, just from the top of my head)

I agree they could have added a shop to craft items. Put less items in the free shop and created neat items to be crafted. I was just stating why the boxes were not added. Hopefully we will start seeing some of the ideas I have talked to Nico about being added now.

how about development and updates? when tig was in charge of the development stuff, which I believe the staff admin is in charge of now, he released kvasir and maintained a solid holiday schedule with fun quests and ****. now it's just NO RELEASES, MINOR CHANGES (mostly to stats to common items), and a LONG wait for holidays that never seem to come.

Which is exactly what I have been wanting to get done for over a month now. Nico is in charge of Development and he is going to start getting some of the things I wanted to see started now.

so.. what do you do? Why is Nico not Staff Admin if he's in charge of development? Why couldn't you complete the things you wanted done over a year ago when you were put as EA (without even being an EM...)?

isn't that your job to complete as staff admin? people don't have to listen to you to get your job done, trust me. prior to you becoming events admin/staff admin there WERE semi-regular updates, while a lot of work was being done on iPhone.

I know the reason of the failure in the recent holiday events like halloween, this xmas and i may be wrong but i dont think so:

After what happened in easter and last xmas with many rare stuff released the current events team have decided to change the holiday events. They had an idea in halloween:

" Since many rare stuff is droping, lets make halloween boxes take 6 hours to craft each and lower drop rate"

Now in xmas:

I asked events admin, why wont there be boxes this xmas? And i got told: " Cause people cry"

Well what happened in the event? Theres nothing to do and people idle and do nothing.

This events team had 2 ideas to solve the problem and both of them failed.

Well the solution to this problem is as simple as this:

Grab last xmas content, put 6 free decent low tier items, readd boxes with new items ( not all rare but also not nooby stuff) and make the rare things rare. I liked the idea of santa but if u wanna make santa the only thing to do dont make him just drop 2 rares and then only cookies cause like that xmas event lasts only 2 days.

show's how little the current Events Admin (Nico) knows about the economy. Makes me regret the entire idea of boxes, box events should be used at most once every year or two years and the item list should change often

Make items fairly obtainable for everyone. Right now everyone is hoarding everything good and unless you throw down some dolla... well good luck.
(There are plenty of items on debug and a whole bunch of items that doesn't do you any good other than make you look great)

My level and class should mean something. Why the heck, am I throwing spells as if I was Gandalf when my class is "Barbarian" and I'm supposed to be a dumb testosterone maniac.

Right now there are very little variety in leveling, more monsters and balancing needs to be done.

This would make me want to come back again. Maybe I'll kill a few crazy bomy lords.

Impossible to do anymore, they run into random dungeons or the underground and hide there.

Not impossible, theres 4 spots they end up, End of each haunted house, dustari entrance in dungeon, and samurai entrance in dungeon
