It doesn't matter if the reason for negative rep is legit or not, people end up retaliating because of it almost always if you leave your name.

Unless I'm neg-repping someone who is complaining about other people not signing their rep (2 b a douche), I always sign negative rep, and I haven't received any blatant retaliation.

Although, I rarely give neg-rep.

I could care less, if I'm going to positive rep or negative rep then I am going to leave my name.

If they want to be immature and negative rep me back let them. :]
