Hello everybody! I'm proud to present to you Graal: The Adventure, a Minecraft Movie created by Pimpsy.
After two months of work from set builders, script writers, a dedicated server provider, and a director, we've finally thrown together something especially for the Graal community. The story revolves around Stefan, a young teenager who once lived in Onett town with his father and mother. On his birthday, Onett town was set to be destroyed by the evil green demom, Higbey. Stefan's house was burnt down and he was forced to flee the town. Through the accident Stefan loses his parents and is captured by Higbey's guards who sent him to jail. Through the interval of a few weeks doing backbreaking work in jail, he meets a young girl named Arichi. They are ultimately busted out by Nick, the wizard of York. Nick sets off in his wagon to find Segrub, and old friend of Nick who's father was slain and lost possession of the almighty Golden Sword. Now together with the help of Nick, Arichi, and Segrub, it's up to them to bring the Golden Sword back to the rightful owner and defeat Higbey once and for all!
Filled with easter eggs, cinematic scenes, comedy, and a storyline most old Graalians can relate to, Graal: The Adventure will have you wanting more with every episode. Don't miss it!
Pimpsy's taking this very seriously. It's been nearly three months since the start of production and there's a full fledged 30+ minute movie so far (just part one of three).
I think the trailer's pretty fun looking, I might look at this.
I thought the voice actors lacked any kind of emotion, and if they at least tried to make it look like graal (I think you can use custom textures) I could see some kind of point with this, but it just looks random and confusing to me.
But I guess I'm just spoiled by the WoW machinima Tales of the past III :P

I conur a little bit about the custom textures, although that might be asking too much...
Nevertheless, I can't wait to see this release

It's not directly related to Graal's plot line, but it involves similar important features and characters such as the Golden Gate, Segrub, and Stefan.
It wouldn't be ideal to make it exactly the same as Graal's story with Fung Si Yan losing his parents and trying to obtain the four Graals because then only people with knowledge of Graal's background would be able to enjoy the film to it's fullest extent. Pimpsy didn't want that, instead he wanted it so that anybody who stumbled across the video could enjoy it the same, except a few of the easter eggs and such. This way it appeals to a MUCH larger audience.
You should think about how it's being thrown out to the Minecraft audience more than the Graal audience, and how reusing the same plot line can be tedious and uncreative before you give somebody negative rep .
That's absolutely tremendous! Well done to everybody who took part! It looks like a professional production and I can't wait to see more from you guys soon. I can't actually bash anything about this other than the dialogue. There needs to be a bit more emotion involved in the words the characters say, but apart from that it was spectacular.
wish pimp could figure out why it takes so long for it to load . i gave up watching his video's on graalains cause of that . on a different note , is he gonna release the other ones he posted there as a kinda behind the scenes or something ?
Nobody wanted to do voice acting. The people who did, however, couldn't do it. And so there was really no way to get it done right.
+ The video took up tons and tons of GB on Pimpsy's harddrive (until he could finalize it into an actual video file). This, of course, required voice acting before any more filming could be done. Which means that he was desperate for the voice acting.
