I finally made it to reliable internet, now we're just cleaning up one bug and doing a final bout of testing. It should be on the server in an hour or so.

The updates have been on the server for a few hours now. There's now a dungeon on the central island of main which contains both hard and easier monsters. If you kill the monsters you'll be taken to an underground dungeon where you can progress deeper underground. As you go deeper, the monsters will get harder. You might eventually find some surprises as you go down, too .

If you're planning on trying the hard dungeon, you'll want to take a few friends with you, as it's very difficult to survive.

It'll be to your benefit to collect as many Christmas Tokens as you can in the next few days.

We've fixed a couple kinks now, but if there are any other problems contact me here or in-game.

There will be a raffle and other events tomorrow (Friday) night at about 3 PM EST where we'll event off some of the new items. The locked doors in the dungeon will open on Saturday.

We'll probably close the Christmas stuff a week from Sunday (Jan 8th). You'll want as much time as possible to collect tokens—trust me. The dungeon will remain open but with no experience multiplier.

What is the multipler? 2 times? 3?

I only get 17.5k exp from ice feinds.. im level 80 magic and i was already that high before the event started. I had to party leech to get exp in other skills

it scales strangely, I believe the mutliplier is a random 1-2x, but at level 40-50 i was getting 200k or so per icefiend, around level 70 it's closer to 25-30k.

tons faster than brutals or zombies though.

This is right, each monster's experience is multiplied by a random number between 1 and 2.

The experience is quite weird. We didn't want to give them more since it's already easy to reach high levels (70 or so) very quickly. Eventually we need to deal with this, but it's part of the mudlib, so it will probably be a long way off. Parties need better exp pooling, too. I don't like how leeching has turned into a major way to level (e.g. people who charge to level others on evildievils).

I agree! But can you wait until I am level 107 in all skills before you mess with the party system? I am trying to catch up to those who already have accomplished this.... Chaos...

We'll event off items based on the number of players that are on. We're also going to event off some valuable non-Christmas items around this time, so I'd recommend getting as many people on at 3 PM EST tomorrow as possible .
