I believe this would be a good idea if there was a large amount of EC's out there, it would be a way for people to dump EC's and probably get nothing in return a majority of the time. I'm doubting the percentages would be 50/50 if this was ever added, but I guess having the ability to gamble your EC's wouldn't be a bad idea.

But, before we add some thing like this I think that the EC shop needs to be updated with more modern items, namely a entire set of equipment would be great. To give new players some thing to strive for as far as collecting EC's goes, I think you would need to add sets for sorcerer/warrior types. When I say set, I mean rings/helmet/boots/belt/weapon/shield/mask/bracers/gloves/armor/necklace. Even re-releasing dead items, or items that are in low supply would be a great idea.

I understand there are worries about balance issues, but I would rather have more consistent players then balance right now.
