Zodiac NPC Crash

Server Crashed I'm guessing, waiting for a local admin or PWA to reset it.

Yeah, none of the current staff online can do it and I'm just sitting in hell with null while we wait for someone.

Well in light of this I gave a couple people NC control so they can resolve these situations.

I wouldn't mind if a serveroption/functionality could be added so anyone can (/npc)start the npcserver provided it's not online.

sometimes those people aren't online or paying attention though which is why anyone with RC should be able to.

I'm more for seperating kill and start /npc rights so it isnt such a trust hazard. What is someone gonna do abuse wise with /npcstart (other than constant rebooting) in which case he or she would be fired for abuse?

Pretty sure shutting down the NPC-server used to require disconnect rights, but it seems like it's working now without them...

doing /npcshutdown wont work unless you have disconnect rights; however, /npckill doesn't (everyone seems to use kill instead of shutdown anyway lol).

This also happens on Classic, and it's on the same machine as Zodiac so it may be some problem with the machine.

Edit: Though I guess this would mean the same is happening on all the Classic servers right now since they are all on the same box.

Atlantis hoppin' on board! Our NPC Server seems to just disappear sometimes, too. Same machine as Zodiac and Classic. No error output or anything similar.

Edit: Xor popped in a flash and fixed it just three minutes after post.
