anubis_wing will become famous soon enough
I think it'd be pretty awesome idea if anyone who tried to get near you would get hurt, and any thing that tried to penetrate the flames would be destroyed. Then when you left it, it poofed. Making it a great defensive abiliteh.

Seems overly abusive.. stand next to someone, cast it, they die.

or, get two mages to block a doorway.. no way out..

or lure TONS of monsters, and then cast it once..

Maybe we should just stick to letting it do an OK amount of damage.

Could simply be countered by giving the initial cast of it knockback anyone in it's area.

Not likely to happen, you get a protective buff that lasts for 3 seconds when you die or exit a level.

Again, not likely. The way I've scripted baddies prevent gathering of more than 2-3 of them, and the way our system works, it wouldn't be much faster at all then just kill them individually.
