I don't think it's a big deal, but he points out "no it's not an RP server, you can make your character look any way you want, except if it's not the way you're supposed to look in this setting".

What's wrong with looking how the rest of the setting looks? Honestly, I like the idea.

What about if you look at it, how I see it.

I see it as playing World of Warcraft, as a gangster with a AK-47. It doesn't make sense...

if you are not making a RP server, then what is the point of putting limitations to keep everything within the confines of...a RP server? i think blowing away "the mafia" as a fish-headed person in the 1930s would be hilarious

To have a coherent vision, let alone a coherent game. You might think fish-people are hilarious, but they're actually just really stupid when put into the setting 1930s United States.

I commend the admins for making a decision to keep their game true to its purpose. It's the first step towards a decent playerworld.
