Stefan seems hesitant to do anything with this. Dunno why.

Also, character customization was charged to my CC twice? o.o
And then I went into the shop again to see what was up and it was listed twice as well z_z

And I'm assuming the same update which went out for Bomber Online will hit Graal Classic when it's approved, seeing as they're both running on the same engine.

It would also be cool if you could set up applications for hiring or something, I'd love to be able to help you guys out as a developer, making quests and pumping out content for players. My forte is scripting, but I can make the levels to go along with the quests I script easily enough too.

And when do you plan on adding support for the tailor commands like setskin? My outfit looks terrible without them, and I assumed the commands would be included in the customization pack, and I'm a bit let down, especially after being charged twice for it.

Stefan's been on vacation for the last week or so, so it's not really surprising.

He's also right to be hesitant when hiring people. If a goatse makes it's way onto the game somehow from some rogue tile artist (lol), or even a level artist getting creative with the tiles, the app could be taken off the App Store, with all their apps removed as well (and all profit lost since the last pay period).

On a more serious note, both players and globals feel more comfortable with a "known" player/developer as opposed to a relatively unknown one despite his abilities. Trust is a major factor in projects such as this so we can all understand why Stefan would be a bit hesitant.

p.s i played the servers u listed except npulse never got in2 it

It definitely runs a lot better then it did previously. Although it still does have lag, on maps I can run pretty decently even though 5-10 players are in a level. I'd love to try the new iPhone 3GS and see if the lag still exists but I don't really have one in my possession. The iTouch 2G runs decently though.

We have already added hats, snow and a new binary version for fixing lag. Xor, cbk1994, fowlplay4 & co have also added and are improving a spar system and there are GPs for preventing that people block the entry to caves.

None of this is documented in the game. I can't find the spar center, and everyone consistently asks "what is there to do on this game?". A tutorial is needed, these updates need to be put in game. I seen the hats, theres one - it's a santa hat?

What about changing clothes, new players are thrown in the center of 'graal city' with absolutely no direction. If you'd like to keep these players, and eventually have them referred to official graal you're going to need to keep them in a good direction.

To be honest, I'm not sure I call three people collaborating on a single spar system progress. One of them could complete it in, like, an hour, without any problems.

Just my two cents..

Please don't try to knock these high-quality developers, they must make sure there is no bugs in typing 'sparringzone' in an npc.

I think it's quite obvious he didn't mean that all of the developers are working on a spar system .

I'm not trying to bash you guys, but the app is going off in the wrong direction, and sparring is fairly awkward on the iPhone. People want content, and sparring is almost exactly the same as PKing. They won't look twice at it. Give them a tutorial, give them direction.

And you've also seen projects such as Era iPhone spring up. I don't have RC or client access to Classic iPhone, so I don't know about any of the development going on there, but I know that there's more going on with Graal iPhone than a spar system.

Yeah, I know about Era iPhone, however irrelevant that is to Classic iPhone, but the sentence, if you read it, it sounds like you're all working on a spar system z_z

Why are all the scripters and talented devs on Graal so pompous now? It makes me feel like I have to be a **** in order to be taken seriously.

The spar system is fairly complete and tracks your wins and loses in your profile, just need to work out a bug that allows them to use the bomb and bow. I also attached an image of one of the rooms, it auto-focuses when you're in a spar (due to the update you don't see spectator chat either) and sitting down.

The next thing on the agenda (mine anyway) is working on a News script to notify players of updates but it's pretty cool how well word of mouth worked out.

Then improving the Map Script (Toggling the heads, Way Points / Map Markers)

Followed by quests, house system, and more content but this will require some collaboration with the rest of Classic iPhone team.

Christ, those players in the center must be laggy as all Hell, unless they're in a separate level and just moving about through NPCs.

Just went into the spar arena. Must say I'm pretty impressed with how the interface works out and how smooth the whole affair worked out. Good job, guys

It would be better if it was a bit more linear for players. Make it a single hallway leading to the arena, or maybe two arenas, and make it a nopk zone in the entrance hallways, because it's kind of annoying to see people fighting outside.

Still waiting on tailor commands, though!

It's not bad at all due to the update and the auto-focus since it doesn't have to draw all those players.

EDIT: Also, it would be cool if you did the separate level thing. I just played in a room with a bunch of people, and it got quite slow.. But my ratio is still 17 : 7, so I'm happy with that :]

I don't quite understand why you are working on the Era Iphone, don't want to be rude or anything, i'm just worried that if people start making their own little projects now, these players will disappear. I understand if you are so eager to show your work to the public, but as im reading through this thread it seems like Graal Classic still needs your help.

Well, I can see that, but I was never involved with Classic iPhone, even after it was released. The reason I'm working on Era iPhone is because I work on the regular Era server.

I suspect the idea here is that it is easier to increase the amount of content available to iPhone players by throwing people at existing content and "convert" it to iPhone than to have them collaborate on iPhone Classic. Especially as you can have everybody working on their own pet iPhone playerworlds without getting in the way, and then you just use whichever are successful.

I am relatively excited about hopefully being able to log on iPhone servers with the next client release. Maybe someone could post the iPhone server levels and scripts so interested parties could idly mess around with the interface or whatever.
