And since they're paying with pumpkins it's not like the PKers are gonna get a bunch of money from it, like they would with normal shops.

Just let the shoppers kill the PKers. They'll do it eventually. Or the PKers will get bored and leave.

There were about 30+ people there dying & blocking earlier, the rule doesn't really apply anymore .
