@ the ctf madness complaint:
during the last months of classic being on the list (may/june perhaps,) the GC team had discussed the issue of the large amount of tickets given out at madness. We had discussed several options, and eventually decided that ctf madness would instead give out "gc tokens" rather than tickets. Essentially 5 or 10 of these tokens could be traded in for 1 ticket. Obviously the idea never was implemented (I believe clel was supposed to make them, but was off-and-on with activity like everyone else,) so whether or not a similar system is invented to solve the problem remains to be seen.
Of course we could just get rid of ctf madness altogether, but I'd still like to see it held one weekend a month for a 3-4 hour period. IMO it's too much fun (when the games are competitive,) to just get rid of. But yeah, the excess tickets were a problem. |
