Auto-Mining is not cheating, they GAVE us automining. Whether it was an accident or intentional, they gave it to us. Whatever graalonline supplies us with, we can use it how we want. If it's cheating, fix the bug.

"No PKing in the City" is a stupid rule. Why the city? And who judges whether you are IN the city when you PK? I've been jailed by many police for PKing THEM in other places. If you are going to ban PKing in a certain place, do it around mining, where people are BUSY doing things, not walking around.

They never GAVE us auto-mining. Some crazy ***** found out a way to exploit a bug and soon everyone was doing it. That's cheating. What if you had a robot that did all your papers and files at work for you? Would that be considered "Cheating to get money"? No, of course not, because they INVENTED the robot! It all makes sense now!

2)"No PKing in the City" is a stupid rule. Why the city?

Lets think about this. I wander around the streets of New York and shoot a guy. Will the police officer arrest me? Of course! Because there is a rule that says "No killing people in the city!". Now lets say I'm out in the frozen arctic where almost no one lives. I shoot a guy there. No one is going to care because it's not inside a populated city!ITS ALL COMING TOGETHER NOW!

No. We can do whetever we want with the bugs they leave open. If we find out something, they FIX them. They don't jail every player for being smart.

Why the city? This is not real life, or some Anime RPing playerworld. The city is just a place where not many people are. People are doing things like mining. If ANYBODY comes into the city, it's just for "unstick me", then they leave.

Editing the gani so you can automine is no different from editing the game's programing AKA hacking the programing, so you can have an advantage. We were never "GIVEN" automining. It was created when somene figured they could cheat just by editing the game itself.

True... But editing part of the program to your own benefit even if you make use of the things provided with the program itself could still be seen as cheating. That's why they removed the save game feauture for online play, once in a really old version they had that enabled and, while I was not there myself, people had 20 hearts etc. due to them having completel acces to how they were stored, and that is also cheating is it not?

Not editing the program, just editing a file. You can change a graphic to look nice for you, but is that cheating?

No that is not cheating as long as it does not give you an unfair advantage over other players (Unfair advantage in this case excludes making things look nicer), and the mining thing gives you an advantage in a way that you only have to push your 'D' button once and you craft till you've got 100%, and while you culd say that you think an endlessly looping crafting gani looks nice it also gives you the unfair advantage of a an easier way to make money.

getting back to the original topic, there should be absolutely no punishment in an online game such as graal because of the contents of a website. true, banishment from the game is understandable if the content was a file to cheat in the game (graal). but just because he works for a site, which happend to have released a cheating file, is no reason to punish him. how do you know someone else didnt release the file?how do you know he didnt just make the graphics and the layout?

Why?

because it's exploitation of a bug.
exploiting a bug is not cheating, was not, and never will be.

HOWEVER, there is a difference between cheating and a "jailable offense".

If Hawk/the police found the bug, saw that it wasn't supposed to be there, then they DECLARED that you should stop automining at once or be jailed, it's jailable offense. It's not cheating.

Hawk/The Police used their power very well in that situation and did a great job of preotecting the Graalian economy until Stefan or whoever got around to fixing the bug did.

if they said you were jailed for cheating, they're wrong. If you were automining after they told you not to, they're right.

on the other hand, if you were jailed for telling people about automining after they declared it a jailable offense, there are two possibilities.

You see, if Hawk/The Police had told the players that not only was automining a jailable offense, but so was telling people about it, they'd have the civil right to jail you.

If they didn't, they still have every right to jail you but that doesn't make their decision just.

Point? we need more rules

This is what i say we do about 5 - 10 graalians get togther and make a sorta Constation (list of rules basically) Spell everything out cleary. If you want to add something you have to talk about it with stefan or someone and it may be added (like if police wanted automining to be jailable )

lol ThT thats weak, keeping someone in jail just cause there name is listed as staff on a hacking site. You cant make someone do something (leave something) to satisfy your needs. Who died and made you god?
