Era's New Manager

HoudiniMan in his last act before quitting PWA was to give Deophite Manager of Era.

Thoughts?

I think that he's putting in someone with higher maturity than past managers.
How this plays out will be interesting.

I think overall from when I've worked with Deophite everything will be OKAY. He's a no-nonsense guy and wants to go foward.

Btw. how is the system gonna work now? 1 manager + 1 PR admin and a Dev Admin?

Well Deo may be okay, but tbh he was put on era trial to being PWA. I mean, he is really only on era and is getting tested on how is is doing imo. I think you guys should have picked andy or sales who worked their -***s- off. Andy really wanted it and things probably would have been in a better state than they will be.

I'm sure Deo will do fine. He's a good guy and knows how to deal with a team. My two quirks with him being manager (I know he's going to take this the wrong way, but please don't :/)
1. He's been on Era six months or something like that. He might know how to run a team, but I feel like he doesn't know Era the way he should to be manager. He'll be the first ever Manager who has played for less than 2 years, and TSA was criticized for that one. Maybe Era needs something new, but we'll see how that goes.

2. He doesn't know his dev. This isn't a requirement for Managers, but it's kind of challenging to run a dev team when you don't know how it works. But that's also what a Dev admin is for, so he should be fine.

Other than that, his ideas are good, he knows what to look for in a team, and he'll bring new players to the server. I just hope he doesn't lose the current ones who are valuable.

Deo is more suited to a PWA position than manager of Era IMO.

im just happy that the gps arent lazy anymore like the ones when TSA was manager,lol i dont want to say the reason on fourms but thats probably whats keeping me from getting a staff postion lol

Deophite should've been removed from Era a long time ago (when EC quit), but we'll see how things go.

GPs were lazy when TSA was around? Everytime I logged on I was chased lmao, eventually they gave up but yeah, maybe for other things they were lazy but who knows.

I think a Dev as a manager and a player relations type person should be a Server administrator. But that's what I think...

As long as he has skilled developers working under him he should be fine.

edit:Also, I knew what I was doing when I quit -- manager is out of the question for me right now

Tig is rarely on at all, i dont even know if he works for the server anymore since Deo got manager, but if not that leaves Kimmy/Crow.. Crow isnt on THAT often, but I see he gets on when he can, and so basically that leaves who? Kimmy.. lol have fun.

I don't think Tig is sticking around for too long, from what I heard he is just getting a Dev Team up and running and then going back to GK, don't quote me on it, just what I heard.

As long as he has a good dev team under him, Deo should do fine... Hopefully

If that person isn't Crow it'd be a mistake -- unless someone who's not currently on the staff team comes in.
