Idea: Local Squads (Guilds) on Zone

If your interested in this idea please post feedback and sudgestions, I think its a great idea but I'm very willing to hear improvements you all may have to it .


I feel that we should add local guilds (call them Squads to sound cooler xD) on Zone. Local guilds being guilds that are created in-game and the tag ONLY works on Zone. All players would be allowed to join Local guilds (trials included) but only Gold members would be allowed to create them.


A NPC appears in Iricia dropship, when you Hit "A" at him he says,
"Would you like to start your own Squad? It costs X amount of Zone-Cash to create a Squad of 10 members."
Now lets assume you own a Squad, if you talked to him he'd say something like,
"Would you like to increase your total number of Squad mates by 10? You currently have ___ Squad members. It costs Y amount of Zone-Cash to increase your maximum amount of Squad members."


New GUI needed for Squad info: (Displays members in Squad with Leader on top, add/remove member features, total number of Members you could add, the Squad name which can be alterable)

And if players were restricted to only joining one Squad that would be interesting.

I like this idea. There are some FUN events that could be done, especially with a /giveitem <item>,team,command!

maybe another thing you could add is "ranks" only for Golds, like "leader" "co-leader" "recuruiter" "miner" and so on... and trials will only be...."soldiers"? =P

I maybe shouldnt say anything about that cuz I am no staff,
but exactly that they have on Zodiac, and if you make that, let the normal guilds stay alive, and you will need to make a system to check wich guilds are this "Squads" and wich are real guilds.

Sure very very very good idea , But MAKE IT NOW and let this not be an idea that stays as an Idea and never comes in the game!

I hope those with a higher staff rank then I haven't forgot about this idea. I strongly believe it would be something worth spending time on making (if its made properly).

We need a big update that isn't a bunch of weapons or a map that will die out within days. And has no association with Gelats.

All staff members like this idea and would like to see it in Zone. Whether or not its created is a different story.

If every player, trials included, is able to join the Local-Guilds, then yes.
If trials aren't allowed to join, Local-Guilds will fail just as much as Global-Guilds.

i like the idea, and i agree trials should be allowed to join, because lets face it, when trials got their guild tags removed, thats when guilds died.

With the current system, even if Trials were allowed to wear their tags again, guilds wouldn't be used to their full potential.
For Zone, in-game guild commands are needed to use Guilds to their fullest potential.

Hold monthly Arctic events, winning Squad's members get some form of points that they can spend on event weapons.

Squads would be ranked based on how often they win/lose, not by their kills/deaths, exp points, "event" points, membercount, etc.

Just some random thoughts.

its a cool idee, maybey you can make it more exciting to host special squad events to win a weapon for the squad (temp) or to buy a weapon for you`re squad

Now this got me thinking, for those who know what GameBattles is. You pretty much know what the idea is.

Bascially the squad leader/officer finds/makes a match so that their team can find another team to fight.

They would have to create another planet which can hold a smaller version of Iricia, KoTH, and Alpha (with a goal to reach). You can throw in CTF, with no secret bunkers. And Guild Wars for elimination.

Thank you Crono, I didn't even mention that but Events could be incorperated into this idea. Many more events could be held. People LOVE events, I believe most of us agree their a large factor in whats keeping Zone alive.

And thats events without new commands being made. If I could request a few commands made then that would largely increase the event potential from this idea.

To elaborate on the weapons, I think they should be weapons you could only obtain through the squad matches. Would be some good incentive for people to want to fight.

I chose Arctic because it's a mix of both raw pking/sparring skill as well as tactics for capturing and maintaining the bases.

Arctic and Gwars would be the best for this. I personally feel Gwars is the best way to display your knowledge of Zone + teamwork.

1. Its a fail. Its not good on your ETs and yourself for Zone overall. ETs are suppose to make sure its not the same boring gameplay over and over again. Not make sure the server doesn't die.

2."Large factor" please. Tell me then, what else is keeping Zone at its current state?

For tradition's sake I say Arctic. Was Gwars the one where everyone has to take over the middle? If so I think it's awful as Arctic actually makes use of it's gmap.

but,
if this is going to be added we cant do "setnick Neo *Leader* ( pk Squad )"
because trials cant have that kind of tag,
so a /squadtag would be needed, witch is easy to make.

Sounds like a great idea, as it'd make things far more interesting. Although, it'd take time to put up, but it'd be worth it.
