Actually, you have no idea how much I'd like to be able to get rid of the Maloria forums. And you people make me laugh. Draenin, I'd like to see you do better. Just because you don't know me is no reason to push me aside.
And Inver, I learned Python long ago, and I didn't learn C from you. >=( I just ask you tons of questions...
Anyways, I haven't had the time to really do a whole lot and Ziro has been itching to do it himself, so I'm letting him finish things up, on a few terms of course. I've asked him to keep it close to the way it has been, but in all honesty since Maloria is currently being hosted on his server I feel I wouldn't be able to stop him if he did otherwise, although I don't feel that he will. I know he'll do a good job, he's a better scripter than most, certainly me (especially since a lot of the scripts on there are some older ones I've made that were pretty poorly planned).
It's really quite amazing how uninformed people are. I would've let people know more on here, but no one listens.
In any case, there's some pretty good (that word is misleading, it's not justifiable, it's just understandable) reasons that it's taken this long. For one, there's been some leadership changes, both in actual staff leadership and who has been leading the actual development. When Zero quit no one had the know how to work with the systems he had (not to mention they were completely different from what Maloria was and what it should be, the interface and gameplay was such that it would take reading an entire manual to play effectively) so it had to be scrapped. Then I gave it a shot...which, at the time, was a mistake, I did not at all have the knowledge to do so, so then Stan came in, quit, similar things happened that happened with Ziro. So now we're at where we are now, Maloria is perfectly finishable, but Ziro want's to change some stuff up but I bet he can get it done in a couple months, I'd love to see that. The one constant killer has been a lack of planning though, it's something I rarely see around Graal so it's not surprising.
