Arhhh I need some advice on this, I want to make it an Ice blade, but "light shading" (for pointy forms) isn't a great friend of mine
Any idea ?
I also need some help with colors, someone already told me to turn with some purple tiles, really bright tho.

Swords are probably one of my worst fields, might want to hope Elk or somebody helps you on this one. Here is my attempt at it




It is probably worse than your attempt. But I might suggest you don't have a straight black outline for the sword, maybe add some touch-ups to the handle, something creative like icicles (i attempted them yes, its horrible ), and be sure to touch up that whole handle piece lastly. About all I can help ya with

Well all I got to say first is THANKS !
But what I'm trying to do is not a straight blade like a paper piece, I'm really trying to do an ice blade, like cut blade, really sharp, with a middle line, dividing it in 2 parts, to make some sort of perspective with light ice effects ! This is really hard for me, it's my first attemp to a GFX made of ice and also for perspective, I'm always doing straight things, I need some change

I'm not trying to make it completely blue too, I'm trying a golden handle.

1H swords will be more realistic and really much smaller

If you're not going to help him than what's the point of posting? I'm pretty sure he's well aware on the size of the sword and obviously he wouldn't have made it so big if he didn't want it that way. Well excuuuse me for believing that things should have proper proportions on the majority of RPG servers/games. I should probably also bring up the fact that 75% of both Maloria's and Zodiac's playerbase used to complain constantly on how ugly oversized weapons are, but it wouldn't matter since you'd find a way to ignore it.

Nah, I must've missed it. Jokes aside, people play Zodiac because it has a vast amount of items and baddies (unlike the only rival, Graal Kingdoms).

There's a reason I prefer working with custom tiles and sprites. It doesn't mean you shouldn't attempt to make it better though, and a good step towards that would be to keep visible equipment/weaponry suit the proportions of the Graal character.

The shading on your blade was decent, but lacked an icy texture. Sage took care of that problem though.

I don't tend to bump threads just to respond someone; I will have to if someone pulls a made up statistic out of their ass on a server I used to work on. I've worked and played Zodiac for quite a while and from my experience I have never heard ANY complaining about out of proportion weapons -- and by god did you say constant!!??

If there were that many people (according to your statistics) criticizing the out of proportioness then something would have been done by now.(and if there were people "complaining constantly" in Maloria, then none would be made in Zodiac) But it seems all of the staff I have worked with have not bothereding doing so(which there is barely any in Graal!) then it seems that the majority doesn't care.

By the way, if you're still crusading about proportioning weapons, just drop it. It's been widely done in the entertainment media (also don't forget that they make impractical weapons seem practical!) and I don't want to waste my time giving examples. Really, it only matters if aiming for something realistic, -- and if it's not then there is no reason to complain because the outcome will just boost your unwarrented self-importance.

Of course it counts. To me realistic and logic seem to come hand in hand, and I hate games (and servers) that throw away logic...specially Zodiac.
