I can assure you they are not utopia's, it may be utopia has atrius's, Atrius's gang sys has been around far longer then utopia has existed in the form it is at now.

No, Utopia didn't have Atrius'. I scripted Utopia's. I'll come on and check it out later tonight.

Trust me Atrius does not steal, Any staff that might steal or had stolen on other servers was removed from staff and anything they did removed from the server, I spent all my graal time making sure that other servers were not stealing our content, Besides we already have had the working system and how would you be able to tell without access to the script?"

I can't, I haven't seen it; however, I was told by TheJames it is possible.

EDIT: I'm on now, the buttons to open it are arranged exactly the same (except on the bottom of the screen) which makes me think it may be stolen. I can't check, though, as I'm not in a gang.

EDIT 2: Talked to Brad (Co-Owner), he verified that it is the same script. They've got my permission to use it though, I'm not using it anytime soon.

It's another "era clone". It won't be replacing Era any time soon. It won't get past hosted unless it can seriously improve the quality of the server, and change the server to be different than Era.

Unless there's some type of amazing new game type you come up with that has never been done before, it won't.


Graal can only handle 1 popular server of each game type:
-RollPlaying
-RPG
-Classic
-Modern
-etc.

I think if Atrius does do very well though, which it is right now for a hosted server, it will become Classic some-day. Atrius has been on and off for a long time now, it's long over due.

We never stopped, but the PWA haven't put any servers on Classic since I've been in charge...

Seems like a waste to do a full showcase for a world admittedly not ready for prime-time.

O alright, I don't think the quality of the server was that good anyways, with that said era could even be 10x better in looks and gameplay.

I just don't know why people go straight to copying the same art style as Era...yes there may be minor differences but there should be a substantial amount, which just doesn't show.

Its not the same art style as era, for one our tileset is set up to be used with custom bodies, and its not really an era clone, because you can get on the topic of the fact that era is a real life clone, there is on such thing as an era clone, as era does not have its on style it is a clone of real life with minor changes. Atrius has a lot of different things also

Uhm, I don't think anyone was debating about similar ideas, it was similar tileset types which I kinda agree on. The only modern server that was different so far is Bravo Evolved.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make when you say that Era takes it's ideas from irl. It's very clear that a lot of Atrius' tiles are influenced from Era. IRL and Era have nothing to do with this argument.

Atrius has a lot of work to be done before getting near classic status.

We offer things that Era doesnt have..and things they do, except better. Customizable character, customizable cars, housing that you can purchase furniture for, customizing your own home. Business's that have a paycheck system, so that you get paid no matter what. Unique events. A manager that plays with the players and answers thier PM's . Vehicles that you can obtain, such as tanks, cars, helicopters, humvees, jeeps, motorcycles, crochrockets. A civilian system, where you can Talk,Buy,Sell, or Rob civilians for thier cash, but receive kill bounty points. Hitman missions where you receive kill bounty points. 7 Different ways to make cold hard cash. Over 25 weapons accesible to players. Many unique swords and hightech weaponry. Cops that chase down criminals for fun, not actually "jailing" them. Noob friendlyness.

Much more, I find myself very different then Era. Remove the guns, change the tileset a little, from what you all say, and name Gangs to 'Posses' or 'Groups'. And I wouldn't be explaining my beloved server right now. This is like you guys telling me my son is like his friend, that is the complete opposite of him, but fashions his trends somewhat.

Well you can try think otherwise but Era is your competition because the both games have the same theme and you have very similar ideas with only variations from those used on era. It seems like your trying to improve on the ideas already used in era and throw in a bonus few.

I sent you a pm with some ideas to differ from era, also you should try change the tileset it has a similar style to eras, alot Players will stop drawing parallels to era if it didnt look graphically similar.

I logged on Era for the first time. I got some money. I bought a gun. I killed people.

I logged on Atrius for the first time. I did a tutorial which glitched. I tried to figure out how to get money. I found out how to make some money, and tried to buy a gun. The shop system glitches on my Mac. So, I gave up. From what I saw, all people did was try to PK each other. Very unique?

The problem is that Atrius needs a lot of work. It's going to have to be completely different from Era if you want a shot at going Classic.

And, listen to your feedback. Remove the custom bodies. Make the tileset better. Improve the overall quality of the scripts and graphics.

I'm not saying that you have to do everything people say, but if most people are saying they don't like something, consider changing it.

Atrius has potential to be a good modern server, if you can improve the quality of it and change the game play on the server. Some people have made some very good suggestions for modern servers in the past.
